Communication from Pennine Ways prior to trip excellent. A very well equipped cottage which is decorated to a high standard. A Co-op a short walk away. The Golden Lion (3 minutes away) serves hearty meals and is friendly. A very relaxing, stress free place to stay.

Had a great stay at Lily’s Cottage. I used it as a base to see family and friends as I’m originally from Weardale. Cottage was perfectly placed in the village close to shops and pub. Kitchen was well equipped to cook a meal for family who came to visit and log burner was a great touch for a relaxing evening for friends visit. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

Everything about our stay at Lily's Cottage was brilliant. The cottage was so comfortable and well equipped, beautifully clean and welcoming and such good value for money. I didn't want to leave as the location was simply stunning.

An enjoyable 3 night stay. A very clean comfortable cottage in the middle of St John's Chapel. Tea/coffee, cooking oil, salt, pepper and ice in the Fridge supplied, along with dish washer tabs. Ideal location, shop, pub, walks from the doorstep. Hope to visit again.

A nice little cottage that provided the perfect base from which to explore the local scenic countryside. Surprisingly spacious comfortable accommodation for sleeping and relaxing, with well equipped kitchen and clean bathroom. Outside sitting area to rear adequate for adults although not very private - wouldn't suit young children.
Village quiet (early summer) although on main through road , was comparatively little traffic. Nice walks from your doorstep and two(!) pubs and a decent Co-op just metres away.
All in all a lovely long weekend had staying there.
