Beautiful house. Great facilities. Kitchen had everything we needed. Second dishwasher was a great idea. The location cannot be matched. However remember to check the pub opening hours and take cash.

We stayed with the whole family over Christmas. The house exceeded our expectations. Extremely clean and well equipped. Lots of large pans and oven trays. Which is what was needed to do a full Christmas dinner. Freezer and fridge space was a little tight. But that might be because it was Christmas. Garden space was incredible. Would we stay again. Absolutely

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bridge End House. It had been really hard to find a property that met our needs (lots of bedrooms including an accessible bedroom and bathroom) but thankfully we found it here! There was more than enough space, especially the living and dining areas downstairs, and we loved the big garden and fire pit. It was also great to have a proper sized kitchen which was very well equipped (although we did find the cooker a bit hard to work out, especially with the grill setting - could just be us not used to electric cookers though!). Everything was also incredibly clean, the housekeeping team do an amazing job. The location is fantastic, feels very rural and secluded but then only a 10 minute drive into Haltwhistle with lots of local amenities.

The only small points we could even think of to be improved were that maybe it would be good for the windows to be cleaned, there were a lot of what looked like nests etc so we felt a bit uneasy opening the windows. But understandable that some things have to be left alone on older properties. Also some of our party felt the beds were a bit uncomfortable but that is very much a personal preference thing! We also wondered if the twin beds would have been better in one of the bigger bedrooms as that room was a bit squashed with two adults in there… but of course if it’s usually children that use that room then they would be fine. Another thing that might be an issue for some is that the TVs are absolutely tiny, obviously most of the time we were outdoors anyway but it wouldn’t work if you wanted to have a film night as a large group. As I say though these are really such minor things and didn’t detract from our whole experience.

Overall we loved the place and would definitely be back for our family get togethers.
