The Lodge offers ground floor accommodation throughout.

The spacious main living area is open plan and has an impressive vaulted ceiling with French doors leading outside to a full length verandah which overlooks the trout lake. Guests can enjoy meals out on the verandah and watch the resident wildlife which includes kingfishers, swallows, barn owls, hares and ducks to name a few. The second lake which is stocked with carp is just across the driveway.

There is ample parking.

A delightful spot. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Mick and Charlotte are always welcoming. The lakes are a delight to fish and offer trout in one lake and carp in the other. Situated near Halesworth and Southwold there is plenty to do and see. If you want a quiet retreat with the opportunity to see the night sky with no light pollution this is a great place. I thoroughly recommend it.

Beautiful rural location—perfect for a peaceful getaway. The lodge was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed to self-cater. Right on the lake, so great for fishing, and we were greeted with a delicious homemade cake! Shops, beaches, and the Broads are all close by, making it ideal for exploring. Highly recommend for a relaxing break.

The Kingfisher lodge was wonderful accommodation. It was immaculately clean with everything we needed to make our holiday perfect. The hosts did everything possible to make our stay memorable. Our favourite place for the last eight years. I

This was our fifth year at Rumburgh Farm, fourth year in Kingfisher Lodge.Beautiful as ever,Tea,coffee, and delicious homemade shortbread on arrival.Added bonus of Swallows nesting in the porch.I am an early riser so having my morning cuppa on the veranda could watch deer,Hare, and heron.Hubby was spoilt with how many carp he caught this year.Carp were in excellent condition. So peaceful, had my sister and brother in law stay for two nights this year and we all agreed we could quite easily live here.Only down side for me as I am getting older and have more health issues I found lounge furniture a bit to low,no bad reflection on the lodge just a heads up for the older generation.Charlotte and Mick are around or always only a call away if you have any problem, which we never have. The fact we keep going back speaks volumes.

We have stayed at many different lodges over the years and this must rank right at the top.
The Lodge was immaculately presented, well equipped and in an idyllic setting.
The coarse fishing was hard going during our stay ( weather) but the fish caught were immaculate
and of a decent size.
We had a day out at Framlingham Castle which was well worth the visit and ate out one night in Bramfield.
To conclude, the Lodge and setting are a credit to the owners and we will certainly be returning next year. No
greater commendation than that.

Our second stay at kingfisher lodge and it won’t be our last. The lodge was very clean warm and comfortable and had everything we needed. To sit on the verandah looking across the trout pond was very relaxing. To have fishing in the carp lake just a few minutes walk from the door was a bonus for my husband. Unfortunately the fishing wasn’t very productive this time but this was probably due to the weather and time of year. Location is good, about half an hour away from Minsmere, Southwold and Beccles.

The lodge is location in a very peaceful environment but not too far to any shops or amenities.
Had a great time doing days out and fishing in one of the lakes on the property.
The lodge has everything you need for s perfect stay.
Used the veranda every day and there is a barbeque to use if you ask the owner.
I would definitely come back again.
Thank you Charlotte and Mick for another enjoyable holiday !

Had a great break, which was booked purely for the fishing.

Never Trout fished before, but still managed to hook and cook some.

Carp fishing was extremely difficult, not sure if they were not feeding as due to spawn or not feeding because the owner was feeding them trout pellets!!!

Would return, but if the carp fishing was as challenging would go to the Day Ticket lake in Halesworth.

We have been coming here regularly for almost 17 years. The location and surroundings are excellent and it is a wonderful place to relax and recharge.

Charlotte and Nick are great and there is always a welcoming slice of homemade cake or biscuit and a case of flowers awaiting your arrival!

There's lots to do within 20 miles of the farm, and a number of local pubs to explore.

I booked Kingfisher lodge for my husband and grown up son to have a long weekend fishing together. They came back extremely happy with their stay. I am informed that it was very clean, comfortable and perfect for their weekend. The lemon drizzle cake was nice too that's on top of the coffee cake I packed them off with. Looking forward to another stay soon.
