another fantastic week at the Ederline Estate. The cottage was exceptionally welcoming, clean and tidy as always. Lots of things to explore on the estate and surrounding area. If you’re thinking of a holiday cottage in Argyll and Bute, you won’t get better. Return visit already booked. See you soon Willa and Angus
Being only 4 of us and two Giant Schnauzers, the house may seem slightly large. However, it fitted our purpose exactly and was very welcoming. A roaring fire in the evening and fabulous views in the daytime this house had everything we needed.
The dogs enjoyed their time both in the enclosed garden and wider afield. It is a working farm so unless your dog is sheep and cattle trained and friendly, it needs to be on a lead. There are many walks and for those slightly more energetic a fantastic walk to the top of the estate.

Last time we came (in the bothy) and this time in the school room, whilst sitting in the garden in the highland sunshine I start to hear the Fleetwood Mac song in my head on repeat "if I live to see the seven wonders, I'll make a path to the rainbow's end, I'll never life to match the beauty again - the rainbows end". No more needs to be said.
Except as a tiny suggestion though it would help if the school room had a 2 way mirror on the post, as you cant see round the the bend especially from the left coming out the drive. (Still a prang would be a small price to pay for such a great wee...more
The property was excellent in every way. Spacious, clean and equipped with everything we needed.
Great views and good walks for our dogs.
All aspects from booking to arriving for our stay was easy and efficient. Willa was extremely helpful and could be contacted should the need arise.
Would certainly recommend Ederline Estate and without hesitation would stay again.

A few days stay at an idyllic location, in a warm and comfortable cottage, with the priceless bonus of daily encounters with Red Squirrels through the kitchen window.
The School House is a well kitted and thoroughly modernised old School House. We found it very comfortable and well located to see the many historical attractions of mid Argyll.
