We liked the cottage as a whole, nice character features and setting. The bedding was nice and clean/crisp too.
However, we were very disappointed by the level of cleanliness… the carpet was covered in dog hair, even upstairs where dogs aren’t meant to go, we had small babies crawling around. I have a dog myself (we didn’t bring her), so I am no stranger to dog hair, but when people are supposed to be paying extra to take their dog, to cover the extra cleaning, then I would expect it to be cleaner than it was. The bath had black bits in it, so again not the standard I would expect. The highchair was really dirty too.
I tried to hoover the place myself, however the hoover bag was full and was really smelly when I turned the hoover on.
In addition, the main big bin outside was covered with maggots when you opened it.
We did mention this whilst we were there, we were advised the cleaners would come again on the Saturday, however when we returned there was just a fly spray on the side, nothing else had been done. The owner (?) said he had come to have a look and couldn’t see anything wrong.
Just a side note too, we went on a really hot weekend, with the bedrooms up in the eaves, the upstairs was really hot, 29 degrees when we put the children to bed. We opened all the windows and external door, but that wasn’t enough. It would have been nice to have been provided with a couple of fans, we bought our own for the second night.
I hope this review is helpful.

Location beautiful; cottage very poor. Numerous issues but Oyster Holiday cottages tried hard to sort out. Aleia was brilliant- always available on the phone and quick to respond to emails.
I could not recommend this particular cottage but would recommend Oyster , I would book a different cottage with them, being confident that ultimately there is redress for any issues

We have stayed in other ‘Glasfryn Parc’ accommodation in the past so we thought we would try the coach house. Stunning location and so close to the beautiful mansion. Owner is friendly and said hello when we arrived. Let us help ourselves to wood which is always a bonus; since we love a roaring fire .
Everything clean but the beds hadn’t been arranged as we had specified - so we had to push them together ourselves.
A few other niggles though - lose wood above fridge- kept falling off. Annoying revolving cupboard was very squeaky. Awkward set up in kitchen - there were 9 of us and we wanted to gather a lot in the kitchen, but this was difficult due to size and cramped due to big table in there.
The farthest bedroom was cold, radiator wasn’t working in there. The adjoining bedroom, which was a bit of a pain, leaked in the heavy rain from the velux window; it was like water torture in the middle of the night. The middle bedroom velux was also leaking - and onto the beds. We also found lots of wood lice in bed! Nice!
On our final day we took a wander down towards the static caravan / old wood merchants? And our dog was attacked by a lose farm dog. He was bitten. It was quite scary! Please take care if you wander that way. Or maybe signs to say don’t go that way? Not sure we will return to this property!
