Welcome to Pengolwg, a stunning holiday home that sleeps 11 guests across 5 bedrooms and six bathrooms. Once the residence of Prime Minister David Lloyd George, this remarkable property lives up to its name, which means "lookout point." From here, there are breathtaking views of the sea, Criccieth Castle and the rolling Welsh coastline from nearly every window.

An excellent holiday house

We loved staying at Pengolwg. Everything was spotless and well ordered. 2 bedrooms weren't quite ready for us due to delays with laundry but those preparing the rooms were polite and friendly and got the job done quickly and efficiently. Very impressed with how they dealt with it.
We loved sitting in the window alcove in the lounge of an evening and watching the sea and chatting. We regularly gravitated to that area because of the fantastic view. Bedrooms were spacious and clean and the kitchen was very well equipped.
Communication with Oyster was excellent and travel directions very precise although most of us came from the opposite direction so just used postcode location for our satnavs.
We would thoroughly recommend Pengolwg to others. It was just perfect for our family holiday. Plenty of space and beautifully kept.

Pengolwg is the perfect property for a family or friends gathering Situated overlooking Criccieth Bay and only a five minute walk to the beach it is a stunning location
Excellent communication from Oyster ensured the whole family from various locations arrived virtually on time!
The house is beautiful inside with a cosy lounge with plenty of sofa space for everyone (11 of us), a dining room with a nice chill out area and a spacious kitchen with an oven to die for. There is also a large fully equipped utility room and a bathroom on the ground floor
The bedrooms were large and mine which overlooked the bay (saw dolphins on several occasions) had the comfiest bed I have been in for years.
There were ample showers/baths for everyone and were used to the max
Outside the enclosed garden provided a safe area for our dog Cookie to play alongside the boys and the grandchildren whilst the girls tried to relax in peace.
We were incredibly fortunate with the weather (not a cloud in the sky for 3 days) however this property would certainly be cosy enough to spend plenty of time in. Not forgetting the cellar with football table mini snooker table and dartboard.
Whilst writing this I have been trying to think of something negative to say as I am always sceptical of gushing reviews however all I could come up with was the gate at the bottom of the garden was a bit stiff (though actually with 2 little ones it’s not a bad thing)!!
The whole family aged from 18 months to 65 thoroughly recommend this property and we have already booked for next year

As a group of friends, with dogs and young children, we had a fantastic stay at Pengolwg over the bank holiday. Absolutely gorgeous sea views, large living and kitchen area, spacious bedrooms, and an awesome games room too. The house is in close proximity to convenience stores in the town, fish and chips, ice cream, and sea front bar! Cannot fault it - would highly recommend.
