A charming converted schoolhouse, with stunning views towards the mountains of Snowdonia, Nyth Y Wennol is full of character.

The location is absolutely beautiful, set in peaceful surroundings with stunning views overlooking fields and mountains. It was the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature.

The cottage itself offered incredible space for everyone in our group. The large living room and dining area were ideal for spending time together, and the spacious kitchen — complete with a washing machine and dishwasher — made our stay comfortable and convenient. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the king-size bed in particular gave us the best sleep we've had in years.

A few areas that could be improved to enhance the experience:
1. Both first-floor bedrooms had broken/missing blinds on the roof windows, which meant the rooms became very bright by 5:30am - making it difficult to sleep in. We later discovered the detached blinds stored in the kitchen cupboard. This should be addressed and fixed immediately.

2. With a maximum occupancy of 8 guests and three toilets available, having only three toilet rolls for a 4-day stay felt insufficient. Providing at least two rolls per toilet would be much more practical.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the cottage to others looking for a peaceful countryside retreat.
