Glasfryn Fawr is a 17th century farmhouse on the Glasfryn estate, well positioned for exploring the Llyn Peninsula and not far from Snowdonia. With lovely gardens and terrific countryside views across to the coast, it is a haven of tranquillity.

Not wanting to be negative since we were on the whole comfortable. Internet connection very poor. House is cosmetically very 'tired' (holes in window frames) . Downstairs bedroom very damp but we were there in dreadful weather. Price reflects these faults I suppose.
Location is lovely, peaceful and pretty. Plenty of room for large group.

Glasfryn Fawr was perfect for our family Christmas. We all fell in love with the kitchen and large living room. The extra snug was ideal for the kids to play games while the adults watched films and chatted by the woodburner. My elderly grandmother was happy in her downstairs bedroom with adjoining bathroom. There are a couple of steps to get into the snug to join the main house. The electric showers were fab and we soon worked out how to work the range for heating and hot water.
We did have to take our refuse home (we only live 40min away) because here was no room in the wheely bin. But I believe Gwynedd is now like Conwy in having only 4wk collections, and we recently had bad storms which may have prevented the last collection.
Will (Oyster Cotts) called me a week before our break to advise that the storms had affected the WiFi at the cottage and it may not be repaired in time, it was and the kids were able to set up their devices easily.
The only small problem we had was we were unable to use normal free view on the main TV, probably due to an aerial problem, but hooked up to the WiFi we were able to use the apps for live tv and catch up. We are hoping to come back in the summer with our Australian relatives to use as a base for showing them around the Llyn Peninsula. We loved Glasfryn Fawr. Diolch!
