Had an amazing time as usual. This is our favorite downtime place to go. Sandy and Bruce are very welcoming and decorated our cabin for the honeymoon. It is the most amazing base for exploring and the sights are amazing. We will be back next year. Keep up the brilliant work guys
Just had a fantastic 5 nights in a caravan. Everything I needed was in there, including a few lovely extras such as fresh milk on arrival. Very quiet location, beautiful surroundings. Staff very nice and welcoming. Can not fault anything. Car is needed, but a good base. I shall definitely return. Thank you!
Lovely friendly staff, stunning location. The caravans are so spacious, cosy and warm... Don't forget carrots for the Donkeys!
I have no words to describe this excellent campsite. It has everything one would want and I am looking forward to coming back again.

Good value for money very nicely located in the Lake District surrounded by nature all around. We stayed over for just 1 nights as we were touring the Lake District. Although we were late to check in since we had drive very slowly on the winding roads from Windermere as well as because of the road works, Bruce was very understanding when we called him on the way to advise and he was already waiting for us when we finally arrived, chatting with us and providing light to help us with parking on the assigned pitch. What a perfect place. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and supported. Unfortunately we were experiencing some electrical problems with our van and Bruce and Sandy couldn't have been more helpful. The site was immaculate and I can only praise the owners and site managers for their care and attention. It's in a great location, and amazing view and lots of good walks directly from the site. It was quiet, friendly, spotless and beautiful. We shall certainly return and we look forward to it!
We had enjoyed our stay very much and although there was some bad weather we still made the most of it and we will definitely be coming back. The owners were very polite and friendly and I felt like that made our stay so much better so thank you! Everything was clean and tidy and I we didn’t have any issues finding anything because it was all there in front of us. Thank you so much we loved it!!
Great location easily found, staff were great and there on arrival, big bonus with having Donkeys too.
Highly recommend this wonderful cottage in the lovely peaceful village of Ravenglass. It really feels like home and gives a warm hug as you enter...its sparkling clean the kitchen is small with everything you need, the sitting room is a comfy place to collapse in after the days adventures both bedrooms are comfy and the bathroom is amazing the view alone from it wonderful and the shower is lovely. If your lucky with the weather the lovely patio overlooking the estuary is a wonderful place to sit and relax in the sun. At night it's very quiet.
Excellent camping spot. Everything was super clean and tidy which was lovely. The camping spot was very quiet with lovely views. There are some towns close by and would be perfect if you had an extra vehicle but we enjoyed a walk around taking in the scenery. The owners we so lovely and were super friendly and understanding. Would definitely come again and would recommend to anybody.
We had an amazing time here. My little lad loved it. Miles and miles of unbelievable views and a football pitch. He was in his element. The accommodation was immaculate with breathtaking views. The camps hosts, Bruce & Sandy, were so accommodating making sure we had everything we needed. Fire pits, BBQ, marshmallows and biscuits for the evening, ideal areas to walk our dog and provided us with local trails we can explore, really couldn’t do enough for us. The site was well maintained. Brilliant time had by all. Will, and have 100%, recommend this place to anyone. We’ll be back.
Great place for staying in the Lake District. Sea ~15 min away. Lakes at the doorstep. Or you can travel to any other lakes within 1h. We were in caravan, it was clean, well equipped and warm. 1 car could be parked next to it and others were able to park near by. Upon arrival there were road works and in dark we missed entry to the site as navigation took us further away.
This campsite has everything a family would want from a campsite. Looking forward to coming back again.
So I must like it! I enjoy hill walking and it is an excellent base for driving to walks in the higher fells of Eskdale and Wasdale. There are also many more walks nearby. I didn’t realise how much I liked donkeys until I met the Parkgate donkeys. The van is well equipped and comfortable, clean and well equipped. The staff were very helpful. I certainly intend to return.
Campsite was in a wonderful location, very good shower, toilet and washing facilities. Each pitch was well layered out and identified. Really enjoyed our stay.
I chose this accommodation as I was working for 2 days close by, I was not disappointed, I spend about £20k a year on accommodation and this venue is in the top 5, I will return if more work occurs nearby but would also stay if I were younger and climbing the stunning surrounding mountains, it is such a good base camp. Starling wifi was incredibly helpful with the work I had to do in the cabin.
The campsite is so well equipped, welcoming and well managed by the lovely Sandy & Bruce. It’s in a gorgeous, scenic area, where we saw the most amazing view of stars at night. Loved it!
This was a fantastic find, great communication on day of arrival, facilities (including wifi) top notch. Pitch 7 was directly in the path of the wind, but sitting on top of a hill! Our only negative was the light over the block came up to our pitch and we wanted to take advantage of the "dark skies" but I understand about health and safety! Would definitely come again, they had lodges that looked amazing too.
Another great holiday at this lovely peaceful place. Everything you need at the cottage and the surroundings are out of this world.We were lucky to see a family of red deer,who visited night and morning in the field next to us,the resident Donkeys are a delight too.Just a couple of suggestions,it would be handy to have the garden fenced to contain the dogs,and the beds are a little hard.Will be booking again.
