Very enjoyable 4 night stay, the static caravan was very comfortable,no problems, will visit again hopefully.
The second time staying at Parkgate, it was just right, lovely views, warm, facilities brilliant, especially as I’ve got dogs to, just right couldn’t be any better, hopefully be back again soon, Thankyou.
.....this would most definitely be it! Super clean , super friendly, a half hour walk through the woods brings you to a nice pub....
Beautiful little site and very welcoming . Will definitely be back. Loved the hard standing beside the pitch because I always worry that when it rains, we will be stuck x
Bruce and Sandy were the most amazing thoughtful, friendly and helpful hosts who made our stay so good we are staying again on our return journey home! We had such helpful information by email sad we left home to give us the best route avoiding narrow roads with pot camper van. We are new to camper van life, this was our first trip away from Dorset and they set the bar very high. Thank you both very much! .
Great location easily found, staff were great and there on arrival, big bonus with having Donkeys too.
Had a very nice time at Park.farm Bruce and Sandy where very nice and informative and the site is very clean and tidy Especially like the nick naks you can buy in the honesty room great idea
Lovely, clean pod. Beautiful camp site. Great views out of the large lounge window. A sunny April weekend made our stay even more pleasant, but I can imagine being cosy in the pod on a cold day. Helpful staff. Fine for 3 of us but could have slept a couple more. Recommended.
Sandra and Bruce couldn’t do enough for you. The site was well maintained. A walkers paradise. Very peaceful and quiet.
Stayed for a week at Miterdale, stunning outdoor space with the million pound view over the estuary. Very comfortable and clean cottage. 2nd visit here and would definitely stay again.
Park Gate Farm is a lovely, small and quiet site in a beautiful part of the Lake District. The wardens are welcoming, friendly and keep the site and facilities very clean and well maintained and the donkeys are always pleased to see anyone bearing carrots! It is a peaceful area with some lovely cafes nearby and plenty of walking from the site itself.
Everything was absolutely perfect. A fantastic, little , quite but welcoming canp site. Would absolutely recommend!!
Wonderful location, beautifully maintained site, peaceful and tranquil, gorgeous log cabin, fantastic!
What an amazing site we originally was camping in our roof tent unfortunately the weather got the better of us and we had to take the tent down before it got damaged i rang Rachel in panic to see if they had anything we could stay in they put us in one of their amazing caravans for the night, Lovely helpful people so friendly and understanding thank you so much lovely clean camp site we cant wait to come back when the weather is better.
This place is how all campsites should be- small welcoming, clean and with great facilities You’ll be hard pressed to beat the view too!
Compact campsite with stunning hill views and excellent facilities. Honestly some of the best campsite facilities ive ever used. Spotlessly clean, honesty shed for essentials plus lending out of blankets and buckets & spades. Easy hire fire pits, bbqs and wood. Location was excellent, 15 mins drive to Ravenglass, Seascale, Muncaster Castle. The only slight downside was some dogs barking down the valley one night.
Our second stay in Gap cottage was equally as good as the first. It is so quiet & private & provides the perfect escape. The fact that it fills all our needs makes it perfect.
We only stayed for one night but we’re greeted by friendly staff on arrival and shown around the site. Beautiful views over the lakes with friendly sheep just over the wall. Family friendly site with a great atmosphere and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or recommend.
Lovely place with great views, good walks just next to the campsite and towards the nearby pubs, as well as the obvious hikes nearby. Friendly welcome and check ups to check we had everything we needed. We stayed in a motorhome but the glamping pods looked great, may be staying in one of those next time!
Very well equipped caravan in a beautiful site with amazing views and excellent access to local woodland and the southern fells.
Despite the poor weather we really enjoyed our time at Harter cottage. It was really quiet and perfect for our nervous dog who enjoyed his walks around nearby Ennerdale, Wasdale and St Bees. The cottage was clean and very well equipped. We hope to return soon.
