Was very impressed with the campsite. Everything was very clean and also the facilities were high quality. Its not the cheapest but it is higher quality than the cheaper campsites
Very enjoyable 4 night stay,the static caravan was very comfortable,no problems,will visit again hopefully.
The second time staying at Parkgate, it was just right, lovely views, warm, facilities brilliant, especially as I’ve got dogs to, just right couldn’t be any better, hopefully be back again soon, Thankyou.
We arrived earlier than expected and was greeted by Sandy and Bruce who went out of thier way to make our stay enjoyable. The site is very well maintained with the facilities always exceptionally clean. The honesty system in the communal shack is excellent with numerous games and sundries available to all. The firepits and BBQs are available for hire at a reasonable rate along with a large tub of logs. All in all an excellent stay at an excellent site. We will return in the future ..
Beautiful site, friendly warden and also met owner who was very welcoming! Stunning scenery and well kept pitches. Toilets and facilities clean and decent showers! Will definitely stay again if in the area.
What a fantastic campsite! Park Farm Holidays was incredibly easy to find, and from the moment we arrived, Bruce and Sandy made us feel completely welcome. They were friendly, helpful, and took the time to explain where everything was, which made settling in effortless. The site itself was immaculate—beautifully maintained with spotless facilities. The setting is absolutely stunning, peaceful and scenic, making it the perfect getaway. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Great location easily found, staff were great and there on arrival, big bonus with having Donkeys too.
Ideal place for us. Was good value for money as hotels and B&Bs are expensive in the is area of Lake District. Did the job. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will be back with family.
Excellent property. Clean and well kept , the village is very quiet with good opportunities for walking and sightseeing. Huge sandy beaches nearby and spectacular scenery. A very relaxing place for a break
We have camped here in the summer and liked the thought of using the cabin in the colder months and we’re not disappointed in how cosy and warm they were. We stayed in a mix of weather from clear blue skies to torrential downpours and found the evenings comfy with plenty of space to make dinner, watch TV and relax of an evening. Beds were super comfy, the bedding clean and fresh and the shower was very welcome after a day on the fells. Loved it.
This campsite has stunning views from the tent porch stretching out as far as they eye can see. The amenities are well maintained and the on-site shop is priced extremely fairly. Our group has been to many campsites over the years and this one has got to be one of the best. Perfect for people who like to go for long walks or hikes. 2 pubs are located within 40 minutes of walking, although you will need to walk on some roads to get there. Sandy and Bruce were very friendly and helpful.
After many years visiting the Duddon valley this was our first time in Wasdale. Rather chilly for June - 12 to 13 in the daytime. The heating and fire were needed but not too much. The cottage is great in every respect. We managed 2 fells and several walks. There is a path marked on the OS map from the house. I’m not sure that it exists. But not a bother. Loved the swifts and swallows.
Great site with cracking views all around, with friendly wardens.Also a good pub (Bower House) close by which serves well kept real ales and serves up good food.Toilets and showers were spot on and a good utility room with washer and drying facilities and local information
Myself and a friend camped the one night on pitch 1 and i must say such a beautiful location and everything on site you need to have a comfortable stay shower and toilet block is immaculate with laundry facilities too the park wardens Sandy and Bruce are amazing really friendly and very helpful they both made it feel like a home from home i cannot fault the place at all and looking forward to my next stay asap
We had a wonderful time. Everything was perfect. We would come back to this gorgeous place in the wonderful Lake District.
We've had an amazing time in Parkgate farm. We've stayed in the middle cabin. On arrival they have switched on the heaters for us, so the cabin was nice and toasty, which was very welcomed after a long drive from South East of England. Bathroom was nice and clean. Water superbly warm. Couldn't fault it Bedroom with super comfy mattress, duvet and pillows. Other bedroom we didn't use, but look equally comfy. Front room has everything that you need. Bruce, Sandy and Rachel are always so helpful... It's a beautiful place, so relaxing and peaceful.... We come back every year...
What a lovely little site this is with beautiful views sandy and Bruce really helpful amenities are spot on showers are really nice and free not having to look for 20 pence pieces to shower. You can hire bbq and fire pits. Washer and dryer for those who need it. I would totally recommend for a peaceful stay. Its location is ideal for those who love walking .whitehaven not far away muncaster Castle is lovely 5 minutes away .
We love Parkgate Farm campsite and have been several times. It’s peaceful and in a beautiful spot. The caravan is very comfortable and provides all we need.
Following total knee replacement surgery we needed a relaxing break and this provided us with just that. The two dogs relaxed as soon as we walked into Harter Cottage, remembering it from previous stays. Even during a power outage caused by a storm the site wardens kept us informed of the situation. Thanks again for the relaxing break and we are already planning our return.
