We have stayed here several times, because everything on offer is spot on. Ty Newydd epitomises everything a B&B should be, not over fancy , not economising , everything just right , no pretentiousness . The whole stay is exemplified by the people , S&R are fantastic hosts, and inspire you to return along with enjoying the building, location and nearby spots. Friendly, homely, welcoming ,comfortable , what more can we say, oh fab breakfast every time !!

A very warm welcome to a stunning location. A wonderful room with fantastic views. Ideal position for mountains and canal. Peaceful countryside setting with beautifulconservatory to watch the world go by. So much useful information on the local and wider area including maps. Delicious breakfast too!
Ty Newydd is a lovely homely B&B. We broke our journey between the Cotswolds and west Wales and had a restful break. Our room was lovely, clean and quiet with great countryside views. We walked along the canal to the Royal Oak for a great pub meal thanks to Sid’s recommendation. Breakfast was excellent and we would recommend and like to return. Thank you
This was our 2nd stay in Bullrush Barn, we love the location right next to the canal with stunning mountain views. Lovely walks right from the doorstep or a short drive to Brecon to stock up on essentials. We see Red Kites everyday which was an added bonus. Two pubs nearby which serve great food or the Cafe at Tallybont. Can thoroughly recommend this place.
The Captains Lookout was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Rachel and Sid were very helpful. We would highly recommend this property.
The B&B is ideally placed by the canal near Brecon. Our room had a restful view across to the hills. The room was comfortable , clean and well furnished. The owners were very helpful - plenty of suggestions for walks and other outings - and we enjoyed our cooked breakfasts. The EV charger was reliable and good value. Highly recommended.
One of our favourite places to go to enjoy the outdoors and superb accommodation to come back to. Delightfully scenic near the canal marina with swans and wildlife. Rachel and Sid are very welcoming and accommodating. We will be back!
