Four years running, and The Victoria Wing remains our favourite spot for short-term family stays in the countryside. We’re already planning our next visit; it’s become an essential part of our year!
The estate staff at Weston Park are incredibly helpful and discreet, making every family visit feel effortlessly supported and special.
From our initial booking through to our stay everything was dealt with by friendly and efficient staff.
The Potting Shed was well equipped, warm, bright, and airy. Everything - furnishings, fittings, equipment etc., had been well thought through to make the stay enjoyable. That one could arrange for meals prepared by the restaurant and left in the fridge was an added bonus.
We enjoyed the most lovely long weekend for a special family celebration. Every room had the wow factor as we explored. Everything we needed was there, especially in the kitchen with extra storage fridge in the pantry, and our stay was a joy - the peace and tranquility only impacted by a motor rally event happening the same weekend! That said, a memorable and lovely weekend in a spectacular setting. In our younger years we never imagined staying here with our family. Nobody would be disappointed here, though those with accessibility/mobility requirements need to be aware of the steep stone sta...more
We simply cannot recommend Weston Park and The Knoll Tower enough. It was nothing short of spectacular and we cannot wait to return next year. The location and estate is breathtaking and makes you feel like you've escapted the world to live in your own secluded estate / castle. The accomodation itself was perfect! The furnishings, the temperature, the facilities, we never wanted to leave. My only issues, though admittedly I couldn't think of a solution, is that there isn't much in the way of storage for your clothes other than a small chest of drawers. So you do end up 'living out of a suitcas...more
I booked the Pink Cottage for a romantic stay with my wife. Wow, such a wonderful romantic cottage in the middle of the woods, extremely good decor and quality of furnishings. Even a very large bath with a Ice bucket stand, if your ever looking for a place to unwind, and spoil your other half, then this is the place to be. Each night we slept with the bedroom windows wide open to the sound of the birds and the sheep calling there Lamb's, wonderful time away.
Little more to add. We found no fault except a hand torch provided did not function properly so a note was left by it in the property. Comfortable beds having fully sprung divans which often are not provided, just mattresses on boxes.
Our stay im March was cosy because of the very adequate electric heating plus a log burner.
The Granary restaurant offered good quality food but a little change of menu would be appreciated by we cottage lodgers of 4 nights; maybe a one off special?
A return visit is likely despite the unpleasant journey around Birmingham.
