My boys and I stayed in The Sandcastle (80 Sunrise Drive) in August 2025. We had a great week and would happily recommend the house to others. The booking process via Anchor Bay was great and by doing it direct saved about 20% over using AirBnB or Booking.com. Lots and lots of communication emails and SMS messages which were timely and helpful.

The house is right beside the main ammenities for the site so you're right by everything. Having said that we weren't disturbed by any noise. The kitchen is great and it was a major bonus having access to the washer/dryer as my boys were both in the pool and on the beach every day so being able to wash and re-use was fab. Beds were comfortable with nice bedding and the bathrooms were good too. Entertainment wise we had the PS4 with us and we were able to plug in the laptop too so accessed all our standard streaming services that way via HDMi. There were games and books in the house. Having the table tennis table just outside the back door was a massive win too.

The walk to the beach is c.10 minutes, down hill on the way there and up hill coming back, but it's well and truly worth it. Amazing sandy beach and the access into the water is great so both my 9 & 12 year olds were able to get in and get cracking without having to worry - we even saw a seal on the last evening which was an unexpected added bonus.

It's not a luxury stay but it's definitely a very practical home from home and we'll be back again for another adventure.

Can't fault anything from start to finish there was excellent communication and guidance from AB holidays with details on how to enjoy the sandcastle, perfect spot with ample nearby spots for parking. Great facilities on site, didn't use the gym or pool on this visit as recently broke my wrist so had an arm cast on. Luckily my sister and her family were in a close by house and supported me and my daughter with transport and daily outings. Lovely weather which always helps. Beds were very comfortable and everywhere clean and fresh. Good facilities in the kitchen, dining chairs were slightly uncomfortable as have lost there padding overtime. Overall a fantastic place to stay and will definitely look at returning to The Bay.

we had a good stay at the sandcastle we had to report problems with the heating and water twice but put right, the house was in a great place on the site for the pools beach and pub which we use and found clean and staff freindly i would like to see bookets on washer microwave , dishwashers as not used these before , , i will stay here again .

We absolutely loved our stay at the Sandcastle! The property is beautiful, super clean and so spacious. We visited with two young children and having a travel cot, high chair and baby gates available was so helpful. It’s in the perfect location too, close to all of the amenities on site! Amazing communication from Anchor Holidays too before and after. We will definitely be back!

Our three person family stay at The Sandcastle holiday home was the first time we had ever stayed at The Bay, and we absolutely loved it. We do not live that far away, but we wanted a relaxing few days somewhere different. The Sandcastle was perfect, a lovely, well equipped, comfortable little house with nice furnishings and decor, and with everything we needed, it felt just like home.
The place was spotlessly clean, the beds lovely and comfortable and considering how close we were to the bar, there was no noise at all late at night.

Location excellent, especially having the table tennis through the patio doors, my grandson loved it. Lovely touch with the welcome box. Overall a good stay and I would book again.
Instructions on the microwave and washing machine would have been helpful. Also quick response via text when I had a query. Thank you
