We love Hendersyde and have been visiting for many years. Sue and her family are a delight and go out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The cottages and Millsyde are superbly appointed and it is just the most calm and peaceful place. We wouldn't change a thing! Thank you Sue.

Millsyde is the perfect place to stay - beautifully presented, comfortable and Sue, the owner has put a lot of thought into providing everything you might need for your stay. The Welcome pack of goodies is fantastic along with the table being set for tea and home-made shortbread on your arrival.

What did you particularly enjoy during your stay in The Borders?
The scenery, lovely walks and the history. Also the hospitality - Scott,s Bistro in Kelso for excellent food & The Caddy Man at Mounhool

Millsyde is a spacious, beautifully presented cottage with quality fixtures and fittings and feels like home from home. Arrived to a welcome pack which included milk, fresh juice, eggs and an amazing selection of fresh fruit. Sue, the owner,
baked delicious home made shortbread too, which we enjoyed on arrival with tea/coffee. Located on a spacious tranquil spot just outside Kelso, we relaxed and enjoyed visiting wildlife in the garden.
Hope to plan our third visit here in Autumn.

What did you particularly enjoy during your stay in The Borders?
Enjoy visiting Hirsel Estate and other parks with our daughter who is a wheelchair user and our black Labrador too.

A beautiful cottage in the depths of the countryside, handy for local walks across farm land and along the Tweed. Well placed for various attractions including shops, restaurants and country estates with gardens to visit.

I love visiting the “Borders and have fished the wonderful Tweed for many years now.
I discovered Millsyde a few years ago and unless it’s already booked I would not wish to stay anywhere else.The location of the
Property is on the edge of farmland with lovely views and open spaces and if you’re an early riser there are lots of opportunities to view the local wildlife and finally ample parking space for several cars I love it .

Each spring we visit the Borders to fish for salmon on the River Tweed. The non fishing members enjoy exploring the incredible history associated with the area amidst some of the most amazing countryside and Millsyde provides an ideal base. It is clean tidy and spacious and close to both the river and Kelso whilst being surrounded by beautiful farmland. Sue, the host ,communicates promptly and is on hand to deal with any queries you might have. Biscuits and a few basic provisions are also a most welcome addition on arrival.
Hard is the heart that loveth nought in May.

The countryside in May and using the holiday to spend with old friends.

We have been visiting Millsyde for years and still adore our annual stay.
The cottage is in a great location to offer total peace and tranquility with only one neighbour and an abundance of wildlife as company, whilst perfectly located for exploring the beautiful borders countryside.
The stunning Floors Castle is well worth a visit and The Hirsel offers lovely walks.
A reasonable commute to many golf courses, we enjoyed Kelso, Roxburghe and The Woll on this visit.
The cottage offers great facilities for keeping the kids occupied (table tennis /croquet /bowls) and with a very well equipped kitchen we sometimes find time for a bit of baking. The whole property is so practical and spacious, we feel utterly relaxed whenever we stay.
A culinary highlight is dinner at Scott's in Kelso, and we would also recommend a trip to St Boswells for the wonderful bookshop and a metre long pizza from Hunters was a fun novelty for the kids.
We hope to be back again soon!
