We are excited to announce that our brand new 3 bedroom holiday lodge (opened January 2024) on the banks of the River Yare is ready for you!

Ferry Lodge commands a beautiful riverside setting with wonderful river views. Featuring a timber interior, this spacious holiday lodge has all you need for an idyllic home from home waterside break. The open plan living area doors open onto the decking with seating furniture, ideal for relaxing in, soaking up the sun and watching the stunning Norfolk sunsets. Watch the boats pass by and keep a look out for wildlife in this peaceful location from the veranda and decking or from the comfort of your cosy lodge!

Bring your own boat and moor right outside and don’t forget the kayaks and paddle boards to venture into the Norfolk Broads. Day boats and canoe* hire is available locally, we would recommend pre booking these to avoid disappointment. *Canoe hire discounted rates apply to our holiday guests.

River fishing is just a few steps away at the bottom of the decking and a bait fridge is provided in the shed, perfect for storing fishing equipment.
Ferry Lodge is in a fantastic location for relaxing and exploring the Norfolk Broads, coast and countryside and has an abundance of family attractions close by too! You can even jump on the train to the beautiful city of Norwich for some retail therapy, sightseeing and history or the popular seaside town of Great Yarmouth for fish and chips and ice-cream on the beach and the child friendly amusement park, Pleasure Beach.

We spent a week here in September ‘24 and what a lovely, relaxing week it was. Ferry Lodge was a home from home with everything we needed. Beautifully presented, clean and with the most beautiful views. We really didn’t want to leave. Tina was so helpful with the launch of our boat … thank you Tina.

We will definitely return.

Spacious comfortable accommodation.
Great location on the riverfront.
Shame the fish weren’t biting for us this time.

Another wonderful stay at Ferry Lodge , cannot wait for our next visit later this year and in 2025.

What a wonderful two weeks we have had. Wall to wall sunshine, lots of laughs and family time. Ferry lodge is beautiful. It's been a fantastic journey. Seeing the lodge in it's previous state of derelict, listening to the plans for a new build, booking before it's even built, watching it been built in the yard, watching it been transported to Brundall, having a sneaky peek and walk around when still a shell, to finally spending our holiday in Ferry lodge.
Ferry lodge is easy to find at the bottom of the riverside estate with plenty of room to park. I was lazy this year and opted for an Asda delivery to the lodge and we had quite a few amazon delivery's too. The lodge is very spacious and welcoming with doors opening straight on to the broads. You can fish straight from the decking.
The kitchen has everything you need for cooking and washing. I've never been a fan of dishwashers, but it was used every meal times. Having a washing machine is a big yes from me and plenty of line to be able to peg out. (Clothes were dry in an hour, it was that hot)
We didnt hire a boat this year but plan to again next year from Broom at the top of the estate. There is plenty to see from the decking, lots of boats, paddle boarders, canoes and every Sunday, weather dependent, is the yacht race.
This is our 4th stay with norfolk holiday lodges with another 2 already booked.
Thank you to Tina for everything you do you have really brought the lodges back to life and for listening to and asking our advice on future improvements.
We cannot wait to return to Nature's nook and river retreat on our next Brundall adventures.

A great place for a wonderful relaxing holiday by the water in a very spacious lodge that has all the comfort’s of home.

What a wonderful place Ferry Lodge is, a great position on the river Yare with a lovely view of the country pub, on the other side of the river (you'll need your own transport to get across or around a 1 hr journey by car), passing boats and great evening sunsets. This place truly was home from home. Fishing was great, lots of tiddlers but some failed opportunities of pike and large bream straight from the decking! Good range of garden furniture including sun loungers which were lovely for soaking up the atmosphere. A broad is very close by and easily reached by water, so do bring your SUP/canoe/kayak this is a must! Tina was extremely responsive throughout our booking and our stay.

The Lodge was absolutely stunning. The scenery and location was beautiful. I loved waking up and just seeing the river right outside. You can see they put time and effort with the decor on the Lodge as it was beautiful. It is great for a family getaway as there lodge is in a great location. The staff are so friendly and helpful with my booking too. I highly recommend to stay in this lodge. I will definitely be booking again!

Beautiful lodge & location. So relaxing, warm, comfortable, modern and well equipped.
Tina is lovely and very helpful, and available should you need anything, not that we did. Always lovely to see her.
Would love to keep this all to ourselves, hence why we have rebooked to come back twice more so far.
