Welcome to Dinky Daze! Our little riverside gem. Dinky Daze can be booked as a one-bedroom property **or** have the option of booking "The Snug" - a small annex to the side of the main building featuring twin beds and a shower room with WC.

Hi well equipped lodge, just a few things that could improve it would be a small drinks table in the lounge area. Drinks had to go on the floor.
Also brought our own torch, just a little one from Amazon always comes in handy, maybe it could be something to provide guests.
Hubby is a fisherman and the trees were a little bit of an issue. We saw them in the photos but they’ve grown a bit since then.

A very relaxing, peaceful retreat that I spent sitting in the sun watching the boats, paddle boarders and canoeists passing by from the comfort of Dinky Daze. The nearby train station was handy to leave the car and use the train to travel to Norwich and Great Yarmouth and not to sit in traffic. It was so good that I'm looking at booking the property again in 2027.

Had a lovely break at Dinky Daze, beautiful location on the River Yare. Everything you need is in the lodge it is very well equipped and beautifully clean, the outside decking and views are stunning, we fished and was lucky enough to catch quite a few Perch, Bream and Roach and lucky to see Heron, Swans with their Cygnets and even a deer from the decking. It’s in a really good location with a pub and bakery/cafe within walking distance as is the train station. A cafe 2 Co-ops and another pub in the village which were all very welcoming. Lots to do in the area we went to Wroxham, Norwich and Caister Castle all within 30 mins drive or train. We had a really enjoyable break and would recommend anyone to have a break here. We hopefully will be back.

Lovely cottage, great riverside location, very well equipped with some nice attention to detail. Very comfortable. Bait fridge/shed was a real bonus. Had plenty of fish and some quality bream. WiFi a little erratic. We will be back

I stayed at Dinky Daze for four nights in the beginning of June. The owners kindly allowed me to change the date of my stay by a couple of days when a problem arised at the last minute.
Dinky Daze is much larger than I was expecting it to be. The outside space is perfect for watching boats go bye on the river while you sit and eat your meals. I did some paddle boarding from the deck and there's plenty of exploring to be done along the river.
Dinky Daze has everything you need for a comfortable stay with a fully equipped kitchen and a very nice shower room.
There is a chip shop, Chinese and an Indian restaurant within walking distance in the town. The Indian restaurant was excellent.
There's a train station five minutes walk away with regular trains to Norwich and Great Yarmouth at very reasonable prices.

We had an amazing stay at Dinky Daze. It is perfect for two people and provides everything you need for a relaxed stay. Only criticism would be the lack of hanging space in the bedrooms.though they have done their best with the space available.
Conveniently located for regular train to Norwich and Great Yarmouth but with the excellent weather it was hard to tear ourselves away from the river. Everything we needed was supplied to a good standard. We have stayed in other accommodation provided by Norfolk Holiday Lodges at Brundall and they have all been fantastic. Would definitely recommend this company and indeed have done so to my friends and family. We will definitely be booking again.

We had a great stay this week at Dinky Daze. The instructions to get there were great and we arrived to find everything as stated. The place is clean tidy and we felt very welcome. The view was great. We were able to visit Strumpshaw Fen by a short car journey - Lowestoft by train, from the nearby Brundall Rail Station (Note: If you're using the train it's cheaper to get your tickets on the train, rather than use an app - the guard on the train will help you choose the cheapest option for the day!) - We also visited Norwich by boat, from Bishy Barney Boats.

The view onto the river from Dinky Daze is great - and we could often hear a Bittern calling from across the river somewhere and watch the Marsh Harriers circling above the marsh opposite.

Tina was really helpful in arranging for us to unexpectedly be able stay an extra day at the end of our holiday, which we really appreciated.

Sue and I had been to Dinky Daze previously so we already knew the lodge was clean and comfortable for couples. Since our last visit the lodge entry has benefitted from new boarding giving a step free access. Easy to park car as well as entry drive is wide. Shingle on drive is mud free so access is very easy. We lit the log burner every evening so nice and cosy. If you are a mobile couple it’s just a few minutes walk to the rail station so a day out in Norwich or Yarmouth without the car is a nice easy journey. Would recommend the lodge as it was very clean and easy to access.

The booking team are brilliant! Any questions quickly answered. Super easy to book and receive booking/check-in details.

Lovely touches of decorated for Christmas and gifts left for us.

Dinky Daze is a lovely, modern & fully equipped chalet.
Everything we needed, kitchen (including tea/coffee/sugar/milk/biscuits), towels, loo roll, etc & extra electric heating had been provided too.

The only things I’d possibly ask for is a larger bed as a double a little tight for us & a smaller dining table, to be able to put two of the swivel chairs next to the patio doors for bird/sunset watching.

A note that in the winter months the towel radiator doesn’t warm the bathroom, so we left the door open with bedroom storage heater set higher.

Thanks for a lovely stay in beautiful surroundings.
We hope to return one day.

Our mid week stay at Dinky Daze was just what we needed to unwind.
A lovely well appointed property well furnished and equipped to a very high standard .
We will be coming back for a longer stay next year if I had one criticism and "I do mean if " is that for a longer stay a washing machine would be a nice addition to the bait room .

Delightful little place in an excellent location. We were surprised by how clean and well presented it was. For late October it was also snug and the log burner kept us warm. View from the patio was stunning and despite the salt issues in the river, we still managed to catch a fair few perch of a decent size. We had been warned about the flooding of the drive way so had wellies and this only added to the fun. Although be warned if walking to the pub that the roads also flood which we weren't as prepared for haha! Highly reccomend the pub for a Sunday roast and the Indian in the high street was also delicious.
The only thing that would make Dinky daze even better is if the bed was a king size and less temperamental. Everytime one of us rolled over the drawers underneath rolled open!
In terms of value for money, you're paying for being on the broads!

It's great to hear that you managed to catch a number of decent perch! Thank you for being so understanding about the flooding we experienced on the weekend you were here. Being on the tidal River Yare in the Broads, flooding only tends to happen when there’s unusually high water or stormy weather further out, as you experienced. Most of the time, access is perfectly fine, but we always like to give guests a heads-up when we're updated that it's likely. It had all disappeared on the Monday so no wellies have been required after that :D Dinky Daze is being closed for 2 weeks mid November in order to raise the drive-way and the area around to the bait fridge shed so this will definitely help as and when the tides get naughty. Thanks for the heads-up about the bed drawers, we'll get that looked at. We appreciate you choosing Dinky Daze for your weekend away and we do hope to welcome you back in the future.

Dinky Daze is a comfortable lodge for 2. Nice easy access to the lodge with direct car parking at the lodge. We liked the simplicity of the facilities. No clutter, just all the things you need and no more. Clean loo and shower, comfortable bed. The river frontage has enough seating and the lodge is nice and level ( two steps in only ). If you like to travel into Norwich or Yarmouth for a day out then it’s just a short walk to the train station. Train is easy route and you don’t have to worry about city centre parking.

Beautifully laid out and immaculately clean and comfortable chalet. Perfect self catering accommodation. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to another visit soon.

We liked the fact we could choose between a full week or shorter stays of three or four days, giving us a great mini break option. Perfect place for couples to stay.

Dinky Daze is a beautiful lodge, both inside and out. It is fully equipped with everything that you could need. Fishing from the deck was brilliant and the customer service that we received from Tina and the team was exceptional. We have already booked a return with Norfolk Holiday Lodges and have no doubt that we will be booking Dinky Daze many times in the future. Cannot recommend highly enough.
