We found the Carthouse perfect for our family, it was spotless, everything you needed to make you feel like home, we had our daughter and two adult grandsons with us, so five altogether, also my daughter had her golden doodle., and our little service dog, there was plenty of room for us all.
Our son and his wife with a little grandson were camping in the caravan in the field next to us, they came over to have a meal with us all one night, it was fantastic, we would highly recommend the Carthouse, and I am a fuss pot where we stay!

Had a great stay here. Games room and animals good for occupying small children, kitchen had everything we needed, comfy beds and sofa, perfect location and Russel is lovely. Honestly couldn’t be happier.

We have stayed in all of the properties at Trevalgan over many years and always enjoy our stay. A great location for visiting our favourite places in Cornwall, lovely walks and watching stunning sunsets .The accommodation is always clean and welcoming also dog friendly and Russell is always friendly, approachable, and very helpful.

Having become dog owners for the first time earlier this year, our usual trip to St. Ives needed to be a little different as we usually stay in the hustle and bustle of the town and wanted a quieter location. After researching we found Trevalgan Farm Holidays and booked the Carthouse and it proved to be a perfect choice! The facilities are fantastic with everything you could need is provided. The hosts are very welcoming and very helpful. We received a homemade cream tea on arrival and fresh farm eggs. The location provided the perfect quiet location we needed to relax, the dog settled immediately and the secure outside patio area was ideal, together with the exercise field and lovely quiet lanes to walk him. We also enjoyed meeting the two friendly goats on the farm who were always pleased to see us with some spare veg. There is a shuttle bus going into St. Ives town on a regular basis from literally just outside the door, which meant we could have easy access for the short trip into town, without needing to worry about getting parked and of course partake in a local tipple. The location offers the perfect balance between being close to St. Ives town/beaches and a quiet country retreat to relax away from the busy town. We hope to visit again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Trevalgan Farm Holidays, especially for anyone looking for dog friendly accomodation.

The Carthouse is an amazing place to stay. It is spacious with everything you could need for a self catering stay here.
Fully equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds and pillows.

In addition, the play barn was a welcome addition with a pool table, table football and table tennis very handy for those rainy days. The goats were so funny and kept us amused with their antics .
There is parking outside and you can walk to St Ives along the coastal path.- around an hour maximum even with stops to admire the view.
An hourly shuttle bus stops at the camping entrance to St Ives which was very handy as you really dont want to be driving into town.
A lovely touch were the home made scones, with jam and cream of course on arrival !!

The hosts are friendly and very helpful, both before and during the holiday.

Only thing to comment on was there is only one bathroom for the Carthouse. We were a family of 4 - 2 teens and parents.
We would have struggled if there were 6 of us in total. Maybe a rota would be required,

We’ve just returned from an amazing last minute stay in The Carthouse, and I can’t thank Russell enough for arranging and extending our stay so quickly!

The Carthouse had absolutely everything you could need, we were welcomed with a fresh cream tea and a spotless place to stay, with everything from Tupperware to a hand blender in the kitchen!

Trevalgan Farm is a perfect spot for being away from the bustle of St. Ives but only a short walk/bus ride into the centre - the coastal path and other footpaths are steps from your door, and it’s perfectly silent in the evenings.

I am certain we will return, and I can’t wait!!

Had a great stay at Trevalgan Farm Holidays. Russell was always reachable if needed. I was there with my family including 2 small kids and everything we needed was already present.
Won't hesitate to stay again. Highly recomended.

Prior to arrival there was concise instructions and useful information about the property. We had a dog with us and she settled in easily, embracing her new selection of walks.
The kitchen is well equipped. The wash/dry room was also useful especially with the weather we had. We only used one of the 3 rooms, but they all looked clean and comfy.
I think we may have to visit again and arrange some sun

We had a fabulous week (helped by the glorious heatwave!) at Carthouse. The owners were very friendly, the Carthouse was exceptionally clean with a well stocked kitchen. The only thing I would suggest is a non stick fish slice for getting eggs out of the non stick pan. We managed fine with what was there but I was worried I might scratch the pan.
There is a dedicated regular bus from St Ives to the touring park next door which saves the hassle of driving in.
Sea views are wonderful with the option to walk up the hill (good path) next to the farm to sit and watch the sun go down over the sea.
The goats were very friendly too! The only reason for 4 stars on comfort is that I suffer from a bad back and the bed wasn’t quite right for me, but the mattresses were in good condition and were fine for my husband!
We would definitely stay again if in the area.

We could not had it better then in the carthouse! We enjoyed it very much with our two sons….
It was such a quiet place and enough Space to Play Outdoor Games! We Love it! You have to pay for the Bus to St. Ives, but nevertheless it was so easy to take the Bus….

Lovely little modern accommodation with everything needed, in quiet location with easy parking. There is also plenty of space to sit outside. Three of us stayed here and met up with the larger family in St Ives only short drive from here (one day we walked to the accommodation from St Ives and it is a good location to access the coast path too). Also very easy to use as base for going to Penzance, Zennor, Lands End etc. and there is even a regular bus service. Would recommend if you like to retreat from the hustle and bustle of St Ives at the end of the day!
Very comfortable and we were welcome by cream scones laid on - a real treat after driving down from Yorkshire.
Russell the host was very welcoming. Thoroughly recommend.

This not so little cottage at a superb price provides a perfect location for a Cornish Holiday. The welcome present was luscious and I made the best ever egg mayo!! Very clean and spacious with friendly owners who were welcoming.

This property is well worth a visit. Beautiful surroundings and very peaceful With some fantastic walks right from the door. Cream Tea welcoming gift a lovely touch and the Trevalgan hens gift made fantastic egg mayo. Definitely will becoming back.

The Carthouse and Trevalgan farm holidays was fabulous, what a lovely place to stay. The cottage was great, the Easter treats hidden for the kids absolutely made their weekend. The area is fantastic, great walks, and beaches, very accessible and easy to get to St Ives and Penzance. The farm itself has a great outdoor play area, and our kids loved the indoor play room too, not to mention the goats :-) Russell was helpful, informative, really friendly and welcoming. We’d definitely recommend Trevalgan Farm Holidays for anyone, particularly anyone with young children. Thank you!
