We had a lovely stay at High Seas. The views from the balcony are absolutely stunning and the way the doors open up all the way is incredible, meaning you get the same stunning view when sitting inside. A huge bonus was we didn’t realise the Torbay Air Show was happening and we had the best seats in the house for the display and incredible weather!

A very well equipped kitchen made eating in the room easy as the restaurants were very expensive and we had a better view than the one from Rock Fish! We did eat out a few times but chose to cook a few times too for this reason. The beds were really comfortable and rooms were quiet at night.

Not many negatives. The front door needs sorting out as it is very hard to open and before long somebody will get stuck either outside or inside. Also the very high ceilings had some cobwebs so that could do with a clean. We had no problems but people with mobility issues would struggle with the location due to many tricky stairs to get into Brixham and back up again.

I would highly recommend this property providing you are reasonably fit.

This place is amazing. It has THE most amazing view in Brixham. This is the biggest reason why we have returned so many times.


It's all open plan upstairs, with those amazing panoramic doors which can be opened when it's warm, and kept closed when it's chilly (making the property lovely and warm). Great variety of crockery, etc for cooking your own meals. Lovely welcome bits for when you arrive and lovely comfy beds. Having a parking space too is an absolute bonus in Brixham and is a short walk away. It takes just a couple of minutes to get to the harbourside from the property, but this is down a long series of very steep steps. Not an issue for us, but definitely worth mentioning for others.

As we've been so many times, there are a few things/ideas we'd like to share with Brixham holidays/the owner to make this property absolutely perfect.

Chair or stool for bedrooms (for use in front of mirrors) (Think these existed the first time we were there) as you have to stoop to use the mirrors that are there.
An airer for washing - there is a washing machine but not really anywhere to hang washing (unless people use chairs/banisters etc)
New patio furniture and enough of it - there are three chairs, one of which is on its way out (along with big 'stool' and table). When we first went there were two chairs and a sofa plus the stool and table I think.
More hangers please!
Some USB plugs would be amazing.
Info booklet would be helpful - there was one previously - we looked for info on when to put the bins out wtc but couldn't find anything.
We've had issues with the hot water the last two times we've stayed - I'm not sure what the issue is - but we basically went without for almost the whole of the last day.

These are just minor things - and only things we've noticed because we've stayed so many times. We absolutely love this property, it is so special to my family and we will absolutely be staying again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was very spacious and the beds were really comfortable.

The property is a bit careworn and could do with a refresh of the decor.
