The Neuk really is a wonderful place to stay. We spent our Christmas here and were not disappointed. The rooms were spacious and aesthetically pleasing. The bath in the master room was a lovely touch . The games/tv room was a hit with elderly kids when they wanted their own downtime. Soaking in the hot tub on Christmas morning before the madness of preparing Christmas dinner for 10 was a dream come true! If the host offered a few bath robes for when using the hot tub and possibly a canopy over the hot tub /outside area (possibly a contracting canopy?) we would have used the ping pong and outdoor area more frequently as well ‘Scottish weather’ certainly showed up! Lastly, joining the local carol singing, Santa and reindeer parade in Aviemore were lasting memories of a traditional Christmas! Overall, many beautiful memories made in a stunning lodge. Thank you!

House was very clean. However, a few negatives, there was an unpleasant damp smell in downstairs bedroom/ensuite and evidence of dampness on the wall! House was cold when we arrived but didn’t take long to heat up, gentleman came to replace a bulb for lamp in sitting area while we were there. Perhaps this and heating switched on before our arrival would have been better. A few little homely touches like washing up liquid, salt pepper and a few basics would make a huge difference. Apart from this and overall we had a wonderful weekend.

This was our second visit to the Neuk and we had a great time, everything was there that we needed and the hot tub and ping pong table was a big hit. Plenty to see and do in the area, and some great places to eat if you don’t fancy cooking.

Just returned from the Neuk. Was everything as advertised. Plenty stock of every item required for our visit. We were a party of 10 from age 70 down to 8 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Stayed for 3 nights while undertaking the Aviemore triathlon with another family. The space was ideal, loved the fact the kids could play outside and we had a watchful eye while inside. The hot tub was just what we required after the triathlon! Couldn’t fault this place and will definitely be booking again

This property was absolutely perfect for our large group long weekend away. The property itself was gorgeous and had everything we needed and more, with super easy check-in and out with a key box system, and the entire booking process was easy from start to finish. Being in easy walking distance down to the loch and other walks was especially nice, and there’s a really sweet local café a short walk down the road and a restaurant on the loch. Communication from GNL was excellent, including an online guide about the property, and they were really helpful and friendly when I had questions. Would absolutely recommend GNL and particularly The Neuk.

A fantastic house set in an amazing location.
Very spacious, clean with everything you’ll need .
Including hot tub, log burner, games .Ping pong .and bbq. outside sitting area . Enclosed garden area.
Location excellent for a base to discover the surrounding area.
Pub, cafe and water sports within walking distance supermarkets also near by

The Neuk deserves 5 stars all round . Beautiful property, spotlessly clean & in a perfect location . We stayed last year & enjoyed it so much we rebooked. Neuk is well equipped & the log burner & hot tub added a bit of luxury. Ages ranged from 72 to 9 & it suited all . Would highly recommend.

We stayed at The Neuk for a week to coincide with a family wedding. The accommodation and location suited our family. Unfortunately there were a few small niggly things that could have been better. I mean - imagine whilst getting dried following your first shower and discovering that your hand had disappeared through a rather large hole in the towel! I reported that we were not impressed with the quality of towels & requested that they be changed but still below the quality I would have expected in a property of this type.
The position of the switch for the extractor fan in the kitchen is not easily accessible - it's fortunate that some members of the family are tall as I could not possibly reach the switch.
A child-safe gate at top of stairs could be a helpful item.
There were a few items of chipped glass & crockery.
The bike shed was a very welcome & well-used item as was the hot-tub.

The Neuk was the perfect accommodation for our group. Lots of space with an open kitchen and lounge area. The beds were all comfy and clean and we also enjoyed the hot tub and ping pong table. The Neuk is in a great location to explore the surrounding area too.

We had a great stay at the Neuk. Great accommodation for 4 adults and 2 kids, the kids especially loved having the choice of bunkbeds!

This was a really good base for our adventures. The property is set up well for those enjoying the outdoors with plenty of space, room for bikes and a hot tub.

We'd recommend the accommodation to everyone.

We chose The Neuk for our family Easter break. Great location, and a fantastic home, fitted out internally to a very high standard. Great open socialising and eating space, with a cosy area to relax and watch TV. Amazing log burner, with fuel supplied that really made for cozy evenings, playing board games with the grandkids. As ever great property and location from GNL. Highly recommend that you place yourself in their capable hands when choosing a stay in the Cairngorm area.

What a fantastic location for a family get together. The Neuk was well equipped and had such a cosy atmosphere. Everything was spotless and lots of thought had been put into each tiny detail. We loved the hot tub and table tennis and enjoyed walks to Loch Insh and the Suie bar!
We will definately be booking again. Thank you so much for brilliant hospitality.

I spent my 40th birthday here with friends and it was amazing. The house was immaculate and absolutely stunning. Hot tub was a perfect addition and beds were extremely comfortable. Cooking was made extremely easy by the amount of kitchen accessories that were available. We will certainly be back to stay again

This home will not let you down! The kitchen had everything you could possibly need to cook and serve for two families, plus a huge dining room table which doubles as a gaming table. The living room is great too, with oversized, comfortable couches, some books and games, a nice TV and the fireplace was a cozy touch as well. There was plenty of wood outside and it was easy to use. The master bedroom has a beautiful balcony and a walk in closet, as well as a huge tub and shower. Heated towel racks and heated floors were a very nice touch.

The kids loved the bunk beds downstairs and they are larger than they appear. There were more than enough bathrooms, too. We really enjoyed the hot tub, which was the perfect temperature even in the winter. It's easy to take the cover off and to operate. It was cleaned at least twice in the week we were there, as well.

Finally, there is plenty to do nearby. We found hiking trails, archery, a fantastic cafe and more, all within a few minutes of the house. It's a gem!

Very nice lodge, lots of space and everything provided for you! Everything was comfortable and cosy for us! Only a few issues… only 3 showers which was very difficult splitting between the 10 of us girls. The recycling bins were full meaning we had to take all of our recycling to a recycling point about a 15 minute drive away from the lodge. However, overall it was an excellent lodge that made our experience so good! Would definitely recommend!!

We had an excellent stay, the Neuk had everything we needed, full kitchen to prepare Xmas dinner with every utensil and crockery you could think of. House was really clean with plenty towels. There were 9 of us aged between 80-10 and there was plenty of room for everyone to sit and relax, play games etc.
The hot tub and log fire are an added bonus, hot tub was regularly maintained and plenty of logs outside for the fire.
And to top it off we it started snowing on Christmas Day so we enjoyed a white Christmas, we will definitely be back, already looking to re book for summer.

A lovely, very modern property with all the home comforts you would want for your stay. Loved the hot tub, comfy beds and open space kitchen/living area for sociable cooking. Brownie points for the Xmas decs to top off our stay. Only minor complaint would be water pressure- plush bathroom fixtures, but a bit style over substance with rubbish water pressure!!

We arrived at the neuk for check in at 5pm on the Friday & we all had a fabulous time! The lodge itself was clean and everything down to the layout for us was great! We had everything we needed for our party getaway! The beds were comfy from the double beds to the bunks. We partied from Friday until Sunday to celebrate my mums 60th and the neuk was the ideal place we used the hot tub which we all loved & really enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend.

We arrived for the September weekend with a family of 10 people! Absolutely spotless place, really modern & homely, everything you need and more! Hot tub was really hot unlike some where they are just a bit on the cool side for my liking! We enjoyed ordering takeout food and just chilling in this gorgeous house! The beds were so comfy & fresh! The log burner is amazing too! Table tennis was a hit! We are definitely going to come back here again.

Very impressive accommodation and perfect for two families with 5 teenagers who enjoyed the hot tub and table tennis. A well equipped, clean and spacious lodge. Lots of activities within easy reach on the Alvie Estate and Loch Insh. Suie Bar around the corner and lovely dog walks and cycling along the Speyside Way. A great week and will definitely return. is a lovely building and has lots of activities to do around it as well as a close drive to shops for groceries. Enjoyed using the facilities of the building and the hot tub was a nice touch :)

The Neuk It kind of gives you a good feeling when you arrive, I can’t fault it, the grandchildren love it, the hot tub is an added benefit. It’s ideally placed for all the activities water sports, quad bike treks, distilleries especially the Gin distillery such a friendly place. We can’t wait to return

The location of this home was great, being 8 miles from Aviemore and we had a brilliant week with the family out and about.
The house was a great size and the kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfy and the huge table was excellent. Showers and bathrooms excellent and laundry room very useful.
Our only complaint was that the house was a bit neglected and not overly clean. There was a footstool in the lounge and there was old popcorn underneath which meant it hadn’t been moved to clean the rug it sat on. The window sills and skirting boards were dusty and we found and old, dirty sock behind the sofa. The kitchen baking trays were rusty and we had to buy foil to line them and bleach to clean the tea stained sink. The games room was really grubby and we didn’t then use it. There was a Christmas wreath still on the door and leaves blown up to the front door which gave it a bit of an abandoned look. Such a shame for a gorgeous big house.
