Our requirements were four bedrooms, three bathrooms/en-suite and a secure garden for the pug. What we got far exceeded our hopes. Great location with a huge exciting garden both for pug and little children. Beds were great and rooms were clean and very comfortable. I don’t really want to go through all the features as the site has it all listed and describes it a lot better than I can. So, highly recommended. Did I mention the steam train, the owl, table tennis, wine chiller, view from the balcony, the superb hot tub…..just book it. Go on, go on, go on.

Hot tub a bonus for the adults and children loved the garden.

A lovely well equipped house with some glorious views. House was clean and comfortable and (apart from a milk jug..) had everything we needed for our break. We loved the hot tub and the tranquil garden had various spots to sit out and watch woodpeckers and red squirrels which visited. The house is quietly situated with direct access to the forest which is great for morning walkies, but just a quick trip from the Cairngorms without the hustle and bustle of Aviemore. Thoroughly recommend.

First time stay at Pine Ridge Lodge and we were not disappointed. Everything you could need to make for a comfortable home from home. Clean and beautiful views. We loved the hot tub and used it every afternoon. The table tennis was an unexpected delight and provided many hours of laughter
Lovely walk both by road and forrest to the local restaurants. Local shop and post office has all you need to keep you going

We’ve stayed in many properties with GNL and have never had any issues, and their communication has always been great. Pine Ridge Lodge is an amazing home and my family and I loved it here. Location is fantastic, house very roomy and comfortable and the garden is perfect for our wee dog. Already booked again for next year!

Everything about Pine Ridge Lodge was spot on. Exactly as described, very clean and welcoming.

Perfect surroundings close to Aviemore, but still very quiet. Lots of extras (games, DVDs, etc, etc) available - which was a really nice touch.

Having returned again to Pine Ridge Lodge, it is like coming back to an old friend.
The location of the lodge is perfect and while some elements may be considered a little dated it is very comfortable and clean and perfect for any size party from 2 up to full occupancy, especially with the secure gardens which are perfect for a furry 4-legged member of the family.
A great base to either just sit back and relax or to venture out and enjoy what the region has to offer. Having stayed at a number of different lodges this is the one I keep returning to.

Stayed for a week over Christmas, the lodge was beautifully decorated for Christmas far exceeding our expectations. Plenty of space for the 6 of us to relax and not be on top of each other.
Lots of small touches including a welcome hamper, bird food, binoculars and DVDs.
There were plenty of logs for the fire and a well equipped kitchen.
The garden was amazing and so many places to walk our dog did not want to come home.
An easy walk to the village bar and restaurant and so much to do in area.
Would definitely recommend.

We love staying in greater Aviemore area and specifically the Boat of Garten, and this is our favourite place to stay so far! Stunning lodge with loads of space inside and out! Large gardens, lots of birds (very worthwhile feeding them) and other wildlife, even a red squirrel made an appearance. The lodge provides great views of the Cairngorm mountain range, which we were lucky to be snow capped for most of our stay. There are fabulous walks for the dogs from the door and would highly recommend the village pub and restaurant. The lodge is well equipped, spacious and the living space is superb. Bedrooms all very comfortable with plenty of bathrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would highly recommend Pine Ridge Lodge and will return in the not to distant future.

As we drove up to the Lodge a Fawn decided to join us in the garden - what a great start to our holiday .
Weather was so hot we spent a great deal of time enjoying all of the outside seatings and hot tub.
Loved how spacious the Lodge was , light streaming through windows gave amazing views of The Cairngorms.
Able to walk to Anderson’s restaurant was a bonus.
Will definitely return.

We loved our stay at Pine Ridge Lodge. It is a lovely house with plenty of space, in a nice location. I would recommend staying here.

The house is in the forest with a large garden with multiple seating areas outside. There was also a trampoline and badminton equipment to entertain the children.

There is a lovely restaurant/pub and a well stocked village shop at the end of the road, within walking distance.

The house was very clean and comfortable. I gave it only 4 stars as a couple of the dressing gowns at the property were dirty or ripped.

This was our second stay at pine ridge lodge. 6 adults and 2 children including a 16 month. The house is well equipped , in a beautiful location and the hot tub and trampoline were well used. The kitchen was clean and tidy however the living areas were not. Very dusty and obviously not swept/vacuumed properly. The beds were comfortable though the mattresses in the twin room are not a good fit for the bed. The pillows disappeared down between the mattress and headboard every night. For a house which is child friendly with stair gates/trampoline etc, the wooden floors are not great: a carpet/large rug would be better in the lounge instead of two sheepskin rugs which slide, and covering on the stairs would make them safer. The glass top table is also very toddler unfriendly. All together a great week with family but the house is needing a bit of attention.

As this was our 3rd time staying at pine ridge Lodge we were not disappointed. The standard has not dropped. We were very relaxed as if it was our home . We saw all our usual places as the lodge is so close to all the amenities that we use .. we also saw the resident cuckoo. A dear and a osprey. Fantastic.

Pine ridge lodge was the perfect house for a family get together in one of our favourite spots. The house provides lots of sociable space both inside and out with the covered hot tub and sitooterie being ideal for all weather outdoor activities. The location of the house is ideal for exploring the whole of Abernethy and Speyside with lots of lovely walks from the door or short drives to explore further.

We had a fantastic break away at Pine Ridge Lodge, the house is very well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. We were pretty lucky with the weather and were able to make use of the barbecue and garden. The location is perfect with beautiful views and ideal for walking being right on the Speyside Way. We all wished we could have stayed longer and will definitely be making a return visit.

Once again Great North Lodges was AMAZING! We use them regularly and they never let us down, every property is fantastic, great location, clean, comfortable and creates a lovely atmosphere for the perfect weekend away.

Hot tub, table tennis table and garden were great for a sunny weekend and the social areas great for sitting, chilling and chatting!

An absolutely lovely lodge. Everything you’d need provided. Cozy and comfortable with , super comfy beds.
Very spacious inside and out.
Fantastic outdoor space in garden perfect for children . The back gate leading onto the woods perfect for a stroll or dog walk .
The area is also perfect good shop nearby and has, also a restaurant and pizza takeaway.
Bike hire with cycle route into Aviemore.
Oh and mustn’t forget the hot tub
Pine ridge lodge is just the perfect place to Stay and relax or be more adventurous in the beautiful area. I hope to go back

We booked Pine Ridge Lodge as a family holiday during autumn and had a superb week considering we had travelled north through storm Ciaran to get to the lodge. There were so many things to do from walks and cycling to just enjoying the peaceful surroundings and wildlife close to the lodge. We especially enjoyed the hot tub at the end of a busy day. We really did not want to leave and could happily have stayed for at least another week!

What an amazing week we had at Pine Ridge Lodge. The accommodation was very special, warm and welcoming.

Watch the sunrise from the balcony, out for a 7 mile walk, car not needed. Late lunch at the Nethy bridge coffee shop. Home to the hot tub to ease the muscles. Dinner and watch the sunset. Collapse into a warm comfy bed! What’s not to like. Totally enjoyed the facilities of the house. In a beautiful situation surrounded by amazing walks. Property maybe slightly tired, but so was I at the end of the day!

I love this lodge!!
The location is superb and the lodge and grounds are perfect for what I (and my dog) need.
Some may consider the internals to be a little dated but it is so comfortable and welcoming and has all the amenities, facilities and equipment you could want. The only thing I bring with me is my own pillow but that is purely down to my preference for memory foam over feather.

Superb and we’re just about to book again from next year.
Superb value, ample outdoor spaces and really interesting , 100% secure, garden for our 2 large energetic dogs.
This enabled us to relax and enjoy the various sun traps around the huge garden. Worth being up early and enjoying the course of wild life from the balcony. Rear gate allows direct access to the wooded trails and the various walks from the lodge are first class.
Due to the layout the bedrooms are very private and individual The charming interior is well furnished, and consistent with a lodge of its age. Some minor changes if it was ours would be more outdoor dining crockery and the charming open shed at the bottom of the garden could do with a clean.
Overall- a gem of a find and one we can see ourselves rebooked each year.
As always GNL were instrumental in matching our needs to the property and their customer service is second to none.

Pine Ridge Lodge is perfectly located within the Spey Valley allowing easy access to many walking & cycling routes. It has the added attraction of the heritage railway.

This was our 3rd time at Pine Ridge Lodge. We go with our friends and dogs and it is just perfect. It really is a home from home place to stay. The setting is beautiful and the garden safe for dogs to play and roam. There are walks from the doorstep and lots to do in the area. I’m sure we will be back again.

I would definitely recommend this lodge for comfort and space. The lodge had everything. I always travel with my coffee machine but I didn’t need to as there was one there and even some coffee pods. Couldn’t have asked for a better replacement to the lodge we initially booked. This one was even better. Best of all was the garden as we were going with dogs and they loved it and to top it off the wood walk just out of the back gate was fantastic. The run was a bit of needle in a haystack, hopefully we got them all.

What can we say? Another fantastic holiday in the Cairngorms, and another amazing lodge hosted by Great North Lodges.
Pine Ridge was cozy and a fantastic base for exploring the near by woods. As always the hot tub was well used and thoroughly enjoyed after a long day out hiking.
The stove was excellent to have on the colder days of the week while we were there. Can’t wait for our next trip already!

We enjoyed the most amazing long weekend at Pine Ridge Lodge, as a much-anticipated family birthday celebration delayed from Nov 2020 due to COVID (GNL customer service during the pandemic was excellent).
The lodge was clean, comfortable, cosy and so well equipped with everything you could possibly need to enjoy a really relaxing stay. The location is fantastic, with beautiful views across to Glenmore and a variety of walks right on the doorstep to keep energetic dogs and children happy. We had 2 great meals at the Boat Hotel which is a less than 10min walk along Kinchurdy Road, as is the well-stocked Post Office & General Store.
We definitely plan to return as a family, as soon as possible, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it :-)

Lovely house in a great location, comfortable lounge and comfortable beds Only a couple of things need upgrading listed below. They may sound trivial but very frustrating.

We were a family of 9 with a 6month old baby and high chair provided with the property is not suitable for a baby under 12/15 months. Fortunately after a call to GNL they were able to obtain another one.

Some of the cooking equipment needs upgrading, in particular the frying pan, far to small, and doesn’t work very well on the induction hob as it’s not heavy enough.

Very minor upgrades but would make a difference.

The location of this property is fantastic - whether for skiing, getting out and about in the area or for great dog walks.
It was comfy for 2 adults and 3 dogs and although it can accommodate more adults, the space may then become a little tight.
Garden is enclosed and well established with a fab sitooterie for warmer days
The hot tub outside needs a shelter to get to / from for the cooler / wet occasions but is a great addition, a sauna would be even better!
The standard of accommodation is good but the double we used needed a topper - it was quite uncomfortable but an extra duvet sufficed
The lodge has all the equipment you need for a great stay, books to select from a choice of music and DVDs
Overall a fab week of excursions and a great place to come home to, comfy and warm!
Will be back!

We enjoyed our second stay at Pine Ridge Lodge. It's an excellent venue for extended family as the house is big enough for everyone to have space whilst enjoying sharing the lounge and hot tub.
