Four Pines Lodge offers a countryside retreat with space for the whole family. This well-equipped self catering lodge near Dulnain Bridge features a large living room on the first floor and a fantastic outdoor space for relaxing and dining.

We had a great week at FPL. Weather wasn’t the kindest but that’s what water proofs are for. House was always warm and welcoming to return to.
The house is up a small lane so not much traffic goes past. Great walks from the front door in the forest at the end of the track. Grantown-On-Spey only a few minutes up the road for takeaways and supplies.
A few minor running issues that need to be addressed ie Yale lock didn’t work, had to discard 2 oven trays as they were rusty and flaking, no grill tray but these are small problems. Couldn’t work out how to turn on decking lights and extractor fan in 1 of the shower rooms didn’t work. Again all small problems easily fixable.
Dogs loved the garden but be aware that the front fence and gate are low so if your dogs see the Roe deer that we’re always in the field opposite the house they may be able to jump the fence/gate.
Lots of wildlife visited the garden; red squirrel, great woodpecker and lots of other birds.
In all a great stay in a great house.

This was our 2nd stay at Four Pines and once again it did not disappoint. My grandchildren loved the house, garden, woodland walks and short car journeys to Landmark, Aviemore and Inverness. I loved the hot tub and comfortable bed. Although some areas were a bit tired compared to our last visit it did not affect our visit.

The property is in an amazing location. Close to Aviemore and Grantown on Spey by car. The views surrounding the property are stunning and the garden is just amazing. The hot tub and the fire pit in the back court are fantastic additional features . The beds are really comfortable.
Things that could have been improved I felt like the cleaning could have been better there were a lot of cobwebs around and the attic room in particular really needed a good clean. There were bulbs missing from lamps in the living room. Some of the brackets attaching kitchen cupboards were loose and the bins hadn’t been emptied from the previous guests. I think when you are paying what you are paying for this property you can expect the cleaning to be a high standard, bulbs to be supplied and the fixtures and fittings to be in good working order.
All in all it was a comfortable stay.

This is a very nice property in a great location - spacious and quietly tucked away in beautiful woodland so it has both a cozy and open feel. There was lots to commend about the property: plenty of space inside with rooms of various sizes to suit different needs, a great primary living room area (unusually on the first floor), great outdoors space with a big garden, nice outdoors eating area and the great bonus of the hot tub.
There are some aspects that could do with more care: the cleaning of the property was not optimal - fine superficially and no problem in bathrooms, kitchen, but some areas of the property had not been carefully cleaned.
Condition: mostly good, a few issues worth addressing: squeaky door handles, slightly stiff locks, a couple of hinges and such like that could do with replacing. Also one of the swings outside needed repairing. Some of the furnishings are a bit tired (especially the second, small living room). The kitchen (slightly cluttered dining area) and utility room were well equipped
All in all, while a few improvements would perhaps make the property more in line with its cost, we were happy there. It catered well to our multi-generation group (aged from 2 to 81 and just about everything in between) and we would definitely consider returning.

This Lodge has everything you need for a comfortable relaxing stay. Great to be secluded but the location is close to lots of things to do, including Aviemore.

the house is so quirky but really comfortable and had everything we needed. the garden and hot tub were great and the house was warm and cosy.
the only issues we had were with the big water supply and the blinds in the upstairs kids bedroom. the decking was very slippy too but we understand that it’s difficult ti maintain with so many trees and wet weather.

Lovely place in a beautiful location. Home from home. Loads of space. Had a small problem and the lady had the maintenance come out straight away that day. Loads to do nearby. We really enjoyed our stay.
I would say property needs to be more enclosed for dogs and some modifications needed in the property to keep it upto date. But overall brilliant stay and would fully recommend.

this is a house with clean rooms and very spatious.
the living room is big and cosy.
the beds are a little on the small side for two persons but still ok.
nice jacuzzi, very clean and good temperature.

Four Pines is a fabulous house in a beautiful location. The house is warm, comfortable and well equipped. The garden is lovely. Loads of room amongst the trees. Huge windows on 3 sides of the living room provide so much light and fantastic outlook. It would be a good idea to update the information books as there's some contradictory information and instructions. Lovely walks from the house. All in all I would highly recommend a holiday here.

Ideal property for our needs with generous room and was well fitted out. The grandchildren really enjoyed the whirlpool and the safe garden plus the walks which started from the front gate. Property is very well located for touring and especially close to the new Cairn Distillery which is well worth a visit as is the Speyside Centre which is even closer. Good Restaurants to be found in Grantown, Carrbridge and Aviemore. Would revisit in the future. Had a little struggle finding the property as no signage from main road - use your Sat Nav to save time!

GNL helped out with excellent customer service to help find a property with our needs. This place did not disappoint, hosted our large family with ease, the upstairs living room was lovely plenty of windows to enjoy the surroundings but also felt comfortable. The bedrooms are roomy also with views to the surroundings. The enclosed garden is perfect for dogs, with a local walk through the forest and by the river. The garden also has a fire pit / bbq / swings and the hot tub was out of this world! Access to bikes, fishing rods, skis, golf clubs and ride on kids toys from the garage.
Drive fits 3 cars with ease, could get more on if required.
As for the location, so there isn’t much in Dulnain Brigde, Grantown-on-Spey is the nearest town for facilities only a 7 min drive up the road, however a fantastic base to take in the local attractions activities. Massively recommend the following:
Clan Paint-balling
Tubing at Loch Insh
Fishing at Rothiemurchus
Glenmore reindeer centre hill walk
Aviemore go karting
Kinrara Gin Distillery/Shop
Walk to the lochan green from the glenmore centre
Boat on Garten - Beautiful!
Loch Morlich

Just an absolutely stunning place which we do hope we are able to return to in the future!
