We all had a terrific time at Muckrach house as it is such a wonderful place. Decoration is fantastic, facilities outstanding and the beds were super comfortable. There were 6 children with us and they didn’t want to leave. All in all, we thoroughly the house.
Cairngorm Cottage is absolutely stunning. Spacious and beautifully decorated, the attention to detail in every room was fantastic. Everything you would need for your stay is provided inside and out. Six adults with three small dogs we had plenty of room to have a relaxing, memorable holiday. Spotlessly clean and very well maintained throughout with a luxurious feel to the whole place. This was our second visit to Coorie Lodge, and I very much doubt it will be our last. As a family of five (plus one dog), this property has everything we could possibly need. Inside, the property is spacious and finished to a high standard. The garage / games room provides useful storage for bikes, as well as entertainment on rainy days, and the decking and garden are a wonderful place to enjoy the sunshine when it appears. This was our second stay at Glenmore Lodge. It is a lovely property and furnished to a luxurious level. It has everything that you would require for your holiday. On entry the Lodge was spotless and wonderfully clean. The icing on the cake was the provision of an illuminated and decorated Christmas tree which added an extra sparkle. We must thank the staff that clean and care for Glenmore Lodge for the extraordinary job they do.
Writing to say thank you. We had 15 adults and 16 kids (ages 3 to 10) and found Gulabin Lodge an excellent experience to have such a gathering. The house and grounds provide ample space for games for the children. The kitchen was well stocked. The firepit was a hit and captivated everyone. We were in easy reach of local walks. Nothing was a problem for Helen and Tim and they created a relaxed atmosphere for us to have a wonderful weekend.
This 'upside down' cottage has lovely outdoor spaces on several sides, enabling views into the forest at any time. We were lucky to have great weather for the first week and made the most of these spaces, being able to choose sunshine or shade at most times of day. The well equipped kitchen made self-catering easy. Bathrooms on both levels meant that we had the luxury of a bathroom each and the powerful shower in the en-suite was great. We stayed at the Speysuide Suite for a long weekend - the cottage is beautifully furnished and very well equipped. Great views from the lounge windows and convenient for touring the area. I will say though that the bed is defintely not a super king size - it is very short - but other than that it is excellent.
Beaver Creek is a lovely lodge although does not justify >£600 per night. Although on the whole the lodge was clean, the rug in front of the fire was filthy. There was no hoover, carpet sweeper or brush available to enable us to keep the floors as spruce as we would like which was also disappointing. The outdoor space with bbq and hot tub was lovely and it's a short walk to centre of Aviemore... All in all in all, it's nice but not luxurious.
Would highly recommend staying here, the house is in a wonderful location and you immediately feel relaxed and at home. Last stayed here in 2001 and the added extension is perfect, we enjoyed sitting and watching the birds, woodpecker and red squirrel feed from the feeders on the trees, from the windows in this room. Will not be leaving it so long before returning.
House is in a lovely location with stunning views. The kids loved exploring the garden. Beds are very comfy. House does need some tlc ( extractor fan in downstairs en-suite not working), could do with wardrobes in bedrooms to hang clothes. The top of the stairs and no fire guard in the lounge were a worry for the youngest child.
Really enjoyed our time at the Old ministers house. Hot tub was great, beds were comfortable and clean, house was within walking distance of the town so no complaints. That's our second time we have stayed at the house as a group and we would do so again.
We stayed at Suidhe Lodge for a family birthday celebration, there was 17 of us in total and plenty of space for everyone. The lodge was very clean, had excellent garden space and facilities - the hot tub and BBQ were favourites amongst our group! The lodge is in a great location, plenty of walks nearby and only 20 mins drive from Aviemore centre. There was also a wood fired pizza van that set up in the car park one evening and a small pub with band one night too. Amazing house, we were a family group of 4 adults. Great space to relax. We would go back. Very lucky with the glorious weather! Beautiful area with so much to do. We walked, cycled and swam in the river. Enjoyed sitting in the garden and the view from the kitchen - lots of birds to watch and we also had a red squirrel come to visit. We used the BBQ, outdoor seating and games room. House very well equipped. Could now do with an upgrade in some areas - upstairs small shower doors very stiff, dishwasher door very heavy and drops quickly so needs attention. Overall a lovely stay.
We booked the garden cottage alongside Suidhe Lodge for a three-generation family holiday and had a wonderful week. The garden cottage is lovely and comfortable and had everything we needed and the hot tub was a big hit with the children. The location is excellent, very close to Loch Insh for water activities and only 10 minutes drive to Aviemore and Kingussie. We visited Landmark for a day which was also nearby and a great day out for all the family.
Our requirements were four bedrooms, three bathrooms/en-suite and a secure garden for the pug. What we got far exceeded our hopes. Great location with a huge exciting garden both for pug and little children. Beds were great and rooms were clean and very comfortable. I don’t really want to go through all the features as the site has it all listed and describes it a lot better than I can. So, highly recommended. Did I mention the steam train, the owl, table tennis, wine chiller, view from the balcony, the superb hot tub…..just book it. Go on, go on, go on.
A great location. We all had a great time. Tasty steaks from Rothiemurchus shop in Inverdruie ( chips from nearly youth hostel) MTB routes superb, Burma path, Ryvoan pass and numerous forest trails. Sauna and hot tub a bonus after an active day. Would return tomorrow!
From the minute we walked through the door, we knew that Forest Trail Lodge was a special place. The layout of the house is perfect with access into the forest from the gate in the garden. Beds very comfy and the house has everything you could want for a week's holiday. We were blessed with beautiful weather all week and had a fantastic time. The Neuk really is a wonderful place to stay. We spent our Christmas here and were not disappointed. The rooms were spacious and aesthetically pleasing. The bath in the master room was a lovely touch . The games/tv room was a hit with elderly kids when they wanted their own downtime. Soaking in the hot tub on Christmas morning before the madness of preparing Christmas dinner for 10 was a dream come true! Who cares about a little traffic noise when you have views like this. Every day we sat in what we called ‘the garden room’ and just enjoyed the view over to the Cairngorms. Just fabulous! Oh - and the house is extremely well equipped and very comfortable! What’s not to like! We have booked another stay later in the year! Highly recommend!
Stayed with my family (2 adults + 2 kids under 5 years old). Really confortable and clean. Everything worked well. Clear instructions. Excelent location. Fully equiped, including some dish soap, extra garbage bag. (Only didn't include extra toilet paper, salt/olive oil.) I would stay here again!! Fully recommend.
Only one small criticism, and that is the main bathroom is needing a bit of TLC. Apart from that we will be back !
Delighted to have found this house and we hope to return. Around 15 mins north of Aviemore, in a tranquil setting, it is well equipped and comfortable, and dog-friendly. A perfect base for all the activities in the area, we enjoyed the views, local walks and the hot tub.
Very relaxing and very worthwhile choice. The stay was awesome and allowed our families to catch up after many years. Highly likely we will be back.
Lovely cottage with everything we needed. Great position in the town. Very quiet even with the train station across the road. Lovely patio area we sat out most days.
The Croft is located in beautiful surroundings, close to the River Spey. The interior is comfortable and spacious. We have stayed at the property many times, and each time the Wi-Fi has been poor and unreliable. However, during this two-week stay, the Wi-Fi was unusable, with a download speed of just 0.3 Mbps, and the path down to the river was overgrown with knee-length grass. Despite these criticisms, which we communicated to GNL, we have already made another booking in the hope that the issues will be addressed. The GNL staff are very professional and helpful, as are the housekeeping staff.
The property was in a good location and very spacious, easily accommodating a large group. Views were excellent and there was a big garden although it wasn't fully enclosed as states in the description. The kitchen was reasonable stocked with equipment and had 2 fridges and a small freezer. We had a few issues with the hot water and shower temperatures were variable between rooms. The main disappointment was the standard of housekeeping. The house is great. It is clean and spacious. It is located in a quite road, surronded by trees. It is well furnished with everything to accomodate large parties. We enjoyed spending 3 days there.
House is in excellent location, quiet area but within easy reach of Aviemore centre and all local attractions . Good overall amenities, large kitchen with additional seating area , comfy beds and and great to have TV's in all bedrooms. Also great to have hot tub under cover as it can then be used in all weather. Overall spacious well equipped house offering good accommodation for family groups. Very pleased with stay! Board games - dvd player. Plenty kitchen utensils - dishwasher Dog bowls for dogs Could be doing with a brush for clearing as only hoover available just for general tidying. Location secluded but accessible to near by villages with car and fantastic walks available in local woods yet short drives away to many more! Cupboard door a little loose in kitchen and would be nice with some drawer space in upstairs loft bedroom as we used this for the kids. . I felt that I needed to share with you my mixed experience staying at what I believed to be luxury accommodation to celebrate a special birthday. We arrived on 30/06, the sun was shining and the house looked most inviting, however on entering the living area, it was more akin to a sauna than a garden room. A quick search of the welcome pack described a controller to open the velux window, however this was missing. I called the maintenance contact who offered to bring a fan, and would contact the owner. The Cabin was ever so sweet, all decorated for Santa coming, very comfortable, clean and cosy. We did enjoy our stay. We did have a problem on Xmas eve when the remote control for fire would not work, my daughters went out and purchased a battery and all was good ... then on boxing day evening we tired to turn fire down and the remote would not work again! we could not understand why this happened as we had only just replaced battery... not knowing what to do we tired to call housekeeping and maintenance ... we could not get an answer... we tired batteries that were in the drawer , eventu...more
Myself and the family had a wonderful time spending Christmas at the lodge, spacious place for 10 people and decent kitchen facilities to cater for a festive feast. The host was easy to contact and readily available to help. There were a few functional issues with the hot tub and showers but these were rectified immediately. Lovely location with skiing, beautiful scenery and local towns nearby. Was a christmas to remember
Wolf Lodge was a lovely cosy, rustic retreat which we would highly recommend. The setting was secluded and private and the location really convenient for several attractions and activities. The place was clean, comfortable and had a lot of character - the upstairs floor accessed via ladder in particular was very charming. The hot tub was also a very nice feature and we were pleasantly surprised to find a sauna there too, (we may have overlooked this but it wasn't super evident from the website that there would be a sauna) although from the instructions it took us a short while to realise there...more
A spacious and comfortable property, we enjoyed our time at Salmon Run Lodge. It’s in an excellent but peaceful location for exploring the surrounding area. Carrbridge itself is lovely with some great walks and attractions. A few minor niggles. The property wasn’t spotless. Dust, hair and sweet wrappers under furniture, dishes left in the dishwasher from the last guests and a freezer which leaked over the floor.
