Lodges absolutely perfect for our long weekend break in the Lake District, spotlessly clean, cosy and well equipped, also a great deck to enjoy the sunshine after a day of walking.

Our lodge was absolutely perfect. It was cosy, spotlessly clean, modern and had everything we needed. The lodge is in a great location just a short drive to the town and the surroundings of the lodge are beautiful.

Unfortunately, we were caught up in the unexpected heavy snow on the second day of our stay. We would like to say a HUGE thank you to Bertie. If it wasn't for him being kind enough to come and pick us up from the town where our car was stuck, we would have been spending the night in our car with our dog. We were also allowed to stay longer after our checkout time due to the snow affecting our ability to travel. We were asked if we had enough food and were offered shopping, as was everyone else who was staying in the lodges. We were then driven by Bertie back to our van to travel home. Thank you so much for doing everything you could to make us comfortable and safe. We cannot wait to return to the cabin for another stay!

A very clean comfortable cottage and in a very nice environment, especially with our 2 dogs. I would recommend it to anyone and we will definitely be going back.

A wonderful location 10 minutes away from the crowds of Windermere. Very helpful owner, the lodge had everything we needed and was beautifully cared for.
The nearby walks were incredible.
Will definitely return.

Enjoyed a long weekend here and found the lodge was perfect, it was so cosy and comfortable to return to after somewhat wet walks. Great to stay somewhere so clean and we will definitely be returning.

We had a most comfortable and peaceful stay at High Borrans. The accommodation is excellent and clearly very well cared for. The setting for the lodges and Shepherds Hut is very secluded and peaceful yet only 3 or 4 mins from the main road into Windermere and Staveley. We would highly recommend High Borrans to anyone. We will definitely return at some stage.

We had some days off and decided to go away for a couple of days. My friend recommended High Borans and luckily we were able to get in.
Lovely accommodation in a beautiful part of the world. Lodge very clean and comfortable.
Our dog loved it too.
Highly recommended and will definitely come again.

Beautiful place for a getaway. We stayed for 4 days and then for another 2, we felt right at home! The hostess is super friendly. We definitely recommend this and will be coming back!

This is our 4th year running and the place never disappoints. The location, the lodge, the peace and quiet and this time the weather has been fantastic. Even if you dont get the weather this place is beautiful. So much tranquilty. The lodge is well equipped and homely.

An enjoyable and very comfortable stay in the peaceful surroundings of High Borrans. Fantastic walks and a variety of wildlife with the added bonus of dark skies which on clear nights are spectacular. I look forward to returning to High Borrans soon.

Lovely clean cosy lodge, it has everything you need and is in a great location for exploring The Lakes. The bed was so comfortable and the shower was great too. Lots of storage and a really well equipped kitchen and nice lounge. Our dog also loved the walks that are on the doorstep. We we definitely return again.

This is our 3rd time staying here. It’s great to be out in the farm area and there are great local walks to do. It’s nice and peaceful and relaxing. We always enjoy it here with the dog. Great place to stay and visit. Will be back next year again
