Great place to stay spotless well equipped nice and handy for Windermere and Ulswater. We were a family of five and there was plenty of space.
We can't wait to return, what a beautiful place to stay! The cabin was so clean and tidy, the rooms where quite big for a cabin so we was surprised! All in all thank you for a lovely stay! We will be returning next year x
You really get what you paid for. The location is just 10-15 mins drive away from bowness of Windermere so it’s really a good location. We were able to have a good time and rest as there was less noise as the environment was very peaceful. And to add up, the pod was so aesthetic yet modern. Would highly recommend!
Such an amazing stay at this lodge. We will definitely be returning such a nice sight also. Thank you for a nice stay
The place was spotless and clean and there were welcome packes for my fur babies which I thought was so nice.
A very enjoyable stay with everything u could possibly need very comfortable clean excellent location a very good welcoming package which was a lovely surprise will definitely be back
We stayed for 4 nights in July and absolutely loved it there. The location was great. This is our 2nd time at White Cross Bay and we will definitely return for a 3rd. The kids activities were great. ( didnt realise we needed passes for swimming and all prebookable swim slots full by the time we arrived. We booked the pool party instead and got passes for kids workshops instead. Something to consider) The lodge itself was lovely. Very cosy. Plenty of space for our family. Storage in main bedroom was great too. Only thing that would have improved our stay would have been private WiFi. The park ...more
If you are considering staying in one of these pods I highly recommend it. They are beautiful, spotlessly clean, cosy and warm in a lovely peaceful spot. The Brown Horse pub also does great food and a lovely breakfast!
I paid for this break as a gift to my parents. Their feedback was as follows - Lovely clean and freshly presented lodge with a great lakeside location and view. A peaceful location in the park, especially as it was mid-week and off season during our stay. Would return again in the future. The only thing lacking was an information pack / instructions for the lodge (i.e fire, tv, microwave, oven) which would have been helpful. There was an issue with the tv connection, this conspired to be a site issue with a damaged cable. Chris from Lakes Cottages & Lodges phoned us promptly and visited to...more
Not our first time at White Cross Bay but first time in this lodge and using Lakes, Cottages & Lodges. Lodge is in a great spot with lovely views of the lake. The lodge is modern, spacious and clean with everything you could need. A great touch was the dedicated WiFi. Will definitely book again.
This was our fourth stay at High Borrans (twice in the Shepherds Hut Percy and twice in Hazel)We love the peaceful situation on the farm. The site is perfect for Windermere and Bowness but just a short drive from the Northern lakes and towns.Cath the proprietor is a lovely lady who will come and have a chat and is always there to sort any problems you may have ( in our four visits we have had no problems whatsoever). The place has become our happy place for chilling out and relaxing. The lodges are modern and spotlessly clean and well maintained. We wish we could visit more often and are hoping to...more
We booked last minute to stay at High Borrans, Percy the Shepherd's Hut and we are so glad we did! A beautiful, cosy place to stay with everything you could possibly need. Perfect location, well designed and a super easy booking process. 100% will be booking again!
Another super stay. Great location to be able to just walk from the lodge. Comfy and cosy accommodation.
This was our 3rd visit to potters lodge , excellent location. Lovely lodge so clean with everything provided. . The only slight thing this time was the outside furniture looking really tired and the outside box broken . Would that put us off again no! , we will be booking again for next year ..
We had a 4 day short break at High Borrans, the lodge was very comfortable and cosy and had everything you need and some nice additional touches. It’s in a lovely location at the end of a no through road, so lovely and peaceful, however, you can easily drive to Windermere, Ambleside within a few minutes and if you take Moorhowe Rd the views are We did some really nice walks, with the option of lower level or higher fell tops if you wish, we really enjoyed this because the area was new to us and it was so much quieter than the rest of the Lakes. We will definitely be back to enjoy those views ...more
Amazing dog friendly Lodge for us. They are well equipped and very clean. Bathrooms are reflective of a hotel stay and very spacious. Decking with gates are helpful to secure dogs. Slightly off the beaten track but that dydnt bother us. Owners, came to chrck at beginning and end of stay how the beak had gone which was lovely. My on'y suggestion is to change the sofa it wasn't comfortable or inviting. My daughter stayed at one of the non dog lodges, and her Lodge was utterly amazing. Definitely would recommend to others and would definitely return.
The lodge was of a very high standard and was very well equipped and very clean. The service and hospitality was of a very high standard it was very quite and very good for wildlife.and good views around, it also has many walks that you can do.The only thing from our point of view was a little remote for us.but apart from that could not fault it.
Really enjoyed our stay at your beautiful lodge despite the weather meaning couldn’t really use the upstairs roof terrace. Fiancée, kids and dogs loved it too. Really spacious living area, spotless clean and beds were comfortable. Only minor issues were main bedroom, handle was coming off door meaning couldn’t close it and not much room at sides of bed to manoeuvre. Cupboard doors wouldn’t open fully because of it and my fiancée struggled with getting out of bed as has mobility issues and if weather was better she probably wasn’t able to use roof terrace anyway as spiral stairs are quite stee...more
We have stayed in Windermere quite a few time but I must say this is one of the favourite places clean quiet and lovely scenery
Another lovely stay at High Borrans Farm. This time a New Years break. Everything was spotlessly clean as usual and a lovely tree-like light was a festive addition. A bottle of bubbly in the fridge was a lovely touch. We had some awful weather and spent a lot of time in the lodge which was cosy and warm and had everything we needed. Thanks Cathy for a fanatic stay.
We had a wonderful stay at Footprints by the Lake! We had won our trip through a competition, but we wouldn't hesitate to return again as customers. The lodge was stunning - spotless throughout and had everything we need. The site itself was lovely and our daughter loved the two play parks and arcade. If we returned again we'd also love to try out the pool. Thank you so much for our stay, it was wonderful :)
4 night mid week break in the Easter holidays. We booked with a special offer so was a reasonable price for school holidays. The lodge is in a lovely area of the park near to the lake. The lodge is nice, but is compact compared to others - I would describe more as a big static caravan. Stayed with my husband and 2 sons aged 8 & 11. We dropped on with gorgeous weather so were outside a lot, but would have been a bit cramped if we were inside a lot in worse weather. The hot tub was gorgeous and had a lovely lake view. Recommend this lodge, but more for a couple or small / young family.
Relaxing retreat in a good location. Pod was cosy, well equipped including items for dogs and decorated to an excellent standard. The Brown Horse Inn serves excellent food and allows dogs in the bar area. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend booking.
We arrived at Fellhaven and managed to unpack the car before the rain started and our Tesco delivery came - perfect timing! The lodge was bright airy and clean. The Tesco driver slipped on the steps (there is a sign saying slippy when wet!) There was ample room for our groceries, with a fridge and a freezer. Cooking/kitchen facilities were great! We could’ve done with a couple of Pyrex bowls, wooden spoons and a fruit bowl! The bedrooms were clean and comfortable but we really could do with having mirrors in all bedrooms rather than just the main bedroom - which proved difficult when ha...more
I have already reviewed this Lodge and I repeat it looked lovely on arrival. Bright and clean. The hot tub was filling and was a huge bonus. However the place was quite shabby. Peeling damp ceiling in ensuite ...wall paper in smaller bedroom was lifting. The towels provided were shabby, the top of the chest of drawers was lifting off and the dishwasher front front was peeling. None of these things are the end of the world . My biggest issue was that the twin beds were so uncomfortable that sleep was an issue. The mattresses were not suitable for adults
Great location. Nice and cosy lodge. We stayed as a family of 4 and had a lovely time. Would recommend
We spend a lovely few days at ewe view Lodge, it was our first time in the lakes and will definitely return next year, the location is in a perfect place with only a short drive to the local town bowness where we went on a boat trip up to Ambleside and had the most amazing time.
Annies View is a very clean and comfortable apartment,it has all necesary facilities and and is spacious enough for 2 people,it also has a good view down to the Lake.It was also value for money and i would highly recommend Annies View for a stay
Lovely, comfortable lodge nestled in a lovely quite part of the park. Spotlessly clean, beds very comfortable, plenty kitchen accessories, fab hot tub. The only thing to me requiring a little TLC is the shower in the en suite. Would happily go back.
We loved Badgers Rest .It was a beautiful lodge in a very quiet position with beautiful views up the valley. It was very spacious and very comfortable bed .We loved seeing all the wildlife through the long windows and enjoyed feeding all the birds and squirrels. We had a very relaxed few days and wished we could have stayed longer .Lots of lovely walks in the area and good pubs .The only negatives was the microwave didn't seem to be working properly and the WiFi wasn't too good .But that wouldn't stop me going back
A nice stay in a nice quiet location by the lake. Caravan is a little dated but perfect for sleeping and the hot tub is an additional bonus. With car parking space and right by the lake, shop down the road for most provisions. Would stay again.
