The place was spotless and clean and there were welcome packes for my fur babies which I thought was so nice.
A very enjoyable stay with everything u could possibly need very comfortable clean excellent location a very good welcoming package which was a lovely surprise will definitely be back
We can't wait to return, what a beautiful place to stay! The cabin was so clean and tidy, the rooms where quite big for a cabin so we was surprised! All in all thank you for a lovely stay! We will be returning next year x
If you are considering staying in one of these pods I highly recommend it. They are beautiful, spotlessly clean, cosy and warm in a lovely peaceful spot. The Brown Horse pub also does great food and a lovely breakfast!
You really get what you paid for. The location is just 10-15 mins drive away from bowness of Windermere so it’s really a good location. We were able to have a good time and rest as there was less noise as the environment was very peaceful. And to add up, the pod was so aesthetic yet modern. Would highly recommend!
Lovely lodge in a very beautiful area of the Lakes .We love Troutbeck it's a much quieter part of the Lake District.Some lovely pubs and places to eat nearby .And some lovely walks on your doorstep .The lodge was very spacious and comfortable and lovely and warm .Had lovely views too .
Not our first time at White Cross Bay but first time in this lodge and using Lakes, Cottages & Lodges. Lodge is in a great spot with lovely views of the lake. The lodge is modern, spacious and clean with everything you could need. A great touch was the dedicated WiFi. Will definitely book again.
Very nice lodge, clean and comfortable. One small fault, no rubber seal on bath plug. Would stay here again.
Another super stay. Great location to be able to just walk from the lodge. Comfy and cosy accommodation.
We have come here as a family every for the past few years and cannot fault it at all Beautiful Lodge in a Stunning Location with huge decking housing a hot tub … WOW!!! The lodge was of a very high standard and was very well equipped and very clean.The service and hospitality was of a very high standard it was very quite and very good for wildlife.and good views around, it also has many walks that you can do.The only thing from our point of view was a little remote for us.but apart from that could not fault it.
Really enjoyed our stay at your beautiful lodge despite the weather meaning couldn’t really use the upstairs roof terrace. Fiancée, kids and dogs loved it too. Really spacious living area, spotless clean and beds were comfortable. Only minor issues were main bedroom, handle was coming off door meaning couldn’t close it and not much room at sides of bed to manoeuvre. Cupboard doors wouldn’t open fully because of it and my fiancée struggled with getting out of bed as has mobility issues and if weather was better she probably wasn’t able to use roof terrace anyway as spiral stairs are quite stee...more
Another lovely stay at High Borrans Farm. This time a New Years break. Everything was spotlessly clean as usual and a lovely tree-like light was a festive addition. A bottle of bubbly in the fridge was a lovely touch. We had some awful weather and spent a lot of time in the lodge which was cosy and warm and had everything we needed. Thanks Cathy for a fanatic stay.
Great location. Marked down for small issues: windows had loads of child handprints, no welcome pack explaining how things work (e.g heating ), shower door off rail, toilet paper holders loose. None of theses had any detrimental effect on our holiday. The kitchen is really very well equipped. We will definitely book again.
We had a great stay at Footprints. The lodge is in a very picturesque and peaceful setting close to the lake. It was spacious and well equipped. However, we feel that mirrors in the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms would be helpful as it was difficult for 5 adults to get ready with the only mirrors available in the main bedroom or bathroom. The beds were very comfy and overall the lodge was clean apart from the headboards which were quite dusty. The hot tub was great. The location is good being few minutes drive from Windermere and Ambleside and a short walk to Brockhole which has a jetty for the Winderm...more
4 night mid week break in the Easter holidays. We booked with a special offer so was a reasonable price for school holidays. The lodge is in a lovely area of the park near to the lake. The lodge is nice, but is compact compared to others - I would describe more as a big static caravan. Stayed with my husband and 2 sons aged 8 & 11. We dropped on with gorgeous weather so were outside a lot, but would have been a bit cramped if we were inside a lot in worse weather. The hot tub was gorgeous and had a lovely lake view. Recommend this lodge, but more for a couple or small / young family.
Relaxing retreat in a good location. Pod was cosy, well equipped including items for dogs and decorated to an excellent standard. The Brown Horse Inn serves excellent food and allows dogs in the bar area. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend booking.
lakes lodges + cottages were extremely helpful and polite throughout the booking and stay, the lodge was a credit to the owners and LL+C, stunning views, very comfortable, very clean just perfect for our stay would defo stay again
Clean spacious and well equipped but was missing a clothes horse! Slipped on decking very dangerous!
By saying this was our third stay, you can tell we love this place. Just a couple of minutes walk from the bustle of Bowness, the tranquility of this place is amazing. Decorated to a high standard, furnished with everything you need, amazing views and close to walks, we don't consider staying anywhere else.
A beautiful scenic place, you won’t be disappointed with the area and site. Very quiet..the occasional sheep wandering by.. The lodge was comfortable and dog friendly, but personally in need for a complete overhaul, the hot tub an added bonus.. Oven needs replacement or a deep clean. The toaster tray was full of bread crumbs..! Furnishings are tired.. On-suite needs some renovation.. Bedding and towels included in the price but personally again possibly replacing.. Slippery on the wooden decking when wet, so added rubber mats would be required..
Lovely spaceous clean lodge. Clean & comfortable and in a great secluded and private location. On site facilities were very good. Hot tub was a bonus! Would definately visit again.
Thanks for leaving some basic essentials, much appreciated. Nice comfortable stay for the weekend. Quiet location not far from Windermere. Only improvement would be WiFi onsite which the kids would have appreciated.
