The cottage is just lovely, it has quality furnishings, the design of the lay out is excellent. The first floor was ideal for socialising and every room had a toilet closeby. We were 3 couples and this was very important.
The cottage was decorated tastefully for Christmas and the welcome pack was a lovely surprise.

The property was excellent in many ways. The proximity to the town centre with the benefit of a parking space outside the house, although slightly tight for a large car, was a bonus. The facilities in the cottage were of a very high standard and obviously a lot of thought has gone into these. The communication with Wooden Star was fantastic and when we did have a slight issue with the heating it was rectified very quickly.
We stayed as a couple and it was perfect for us, so cannot comment if there was larger group staying.

We had a fabulous stay, very impressed with the renovation and decor.
The property is well equipped, beds were firm but comfortable, decent pillows and great towels!
We particularly liked how everything was good quality and of a high standard.
We had a small issue on arrival but the team dealt with this promptly and efficiently.
Would definitely stay here again and at their other properties.

This was a great cottage to stay in for a family of five. The kids loved it! It was a fantastic location for exploring Hexham, walking to supermarkets and taking the kids to the park. Really cosy with the log burner and a really well equipped kitchen. We had a great time here.

We really enjoyed our holiday - the cottage was beautifully decorated and furnished BUT although it has beds enough for 6 people it really doesn’t have the living/dining space required for us to all sit comfortably both in the living area and around the table.
The smaller bedroom upstairs is too small for a couple.
One shower between 6 people is also a stretch - could one not be plumbed in downstairs?
The location /quality of the cottage is great but i feel it would be better suited to just 4 adults
Of street parking an added bonus with easy additional parking at Waitrose

Lovely cottage, perfect for sightseeing around Hexham.
Car parking space not for a nervous driver but plenty spaces in Hexham if necessary.
