This was our second stay at Brae Cottage so we knew what to expect and it was as wonderful as the first time we stayed. We love that you can't see another house anywhere around you, the only company is the sheep!!! Very clean and well-equipped cottage, fab garden for the dogs (although they like the stream a bit too much), good size hot tub and the best bit is the peace and quiet. Lots of places to visit within an hour or so drive. Can't wait to return
We loved staying in the Monzie Estate Gardeners Cottage! Cozy, gorgeous and surrounded by green. The space had everything we needed - really appreciated laundry and blackout windows - and we loved that the owners and property are so eco-friendly. Very comfortable beds and such a pleasure to get to meet Alexandra and tour the castle. Our favorite part was exploring the estate itself. It felt like we had our own private Scottish countryside complete with sheep, cow, bunny and deer sitings! The whole Monzie Estate experience was exceptional. My little cottage was old world charm on the outside with new world cottage charm on the inside.( Just check out the Photos) I was greeted with a bottle of wine, the best brownies ever, and a fresh wildflower bouquet, which started the magical experience off. I was close enough to wander down to the Mill House and Monzie Kirk church building and cemetery and up to the old school house. Cosy, comfortable family holiday let. Right in the heart of Monzie Estate, and equipped with everything you need for a short or long stay. Hosts Alex and David we friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.
For the price I would have liked a little more space for the living room/dining area. A pint of milk in the fridge on arrival would have been appreciated. Bedrooms were excellent.
Stayed at Monzie Estate which is located right outside of Crieff. The estate was amazing, the pictures don’t do it justice. The views from the house and the rest of the property are stunning. I loved how they kept the original charm throughout the house, but instilled modern elements. I would recommend to spend time around the property by hiking or just a simple walk. Both will provide you with breathtaking views. My sisters and I also spent some time in the town of Crieff. The Glenturret distillery tour is a must if you enjoy a good scotch.
