We decided to round out our recent UK trip with a stay in the Gardener's Cottage. We enjoyed our lodgings in the East Gatehouse last year, but wanted a little more space as were traveling with our daughter. We found the cottage super comfy and well supplied. It provided a great home base for our day trips, but we also enjoyed just hanging out cooking, watching movies and walking around the estate. It was cold during our stay so the in-floor heating was great. Alexandra was always available if we needed advice or assistance. She gave us a tour of the castle and we felt truly welcome. Stayed at East Gatehouse Lodge for 2 nights with my family recently. Exceeded our expectations. The Gatehouse was unlike anything we stayed in before and had everything you needed. The rooms were spotless and the beds and bedlinen were so comfy & cosy. Walks around the grounds and scenery amazing. We will definitely return and would highly recommend the Gatehouse.
Our family of 7 fitted in comfortably and the en-suite bedrooms were well equipped, clean and welcoming. We also enjoyed doing the challenging jigsaws in the evenings that we stayed in. The kitchen was well equipped and provided for us nicely. Our Master Chef enjoyed giving us meals (I believe!) which we certainly appreciated! Thank you for providing us this wonderful memorable holiday.
