This light and airy pet friendly, 3 bedroom apartment offers over 1100 sq ft of space set over two floors. The living area is a great sociable space - leading through to the dining and kitchen area with balcony doors to the fabulous balcony.

There are 3 bedrooms - two on the 2nd floor and 1 on the third - great for grandparents or teenagers who need their own space away from younger children!

The balcony on this apartment is its best feature - featuring a dining table and seating for 6, the south facing views across the marina provide breath-taking views and sunsets to enjoy long into the evening.

Ideally placed only a 10 minute walk from Bowness you’ll find plenty to keep everyone entertained including a 3 screen cinema, theatre and numerous cafes for those relaxing days.

We have stayed at WMV many times, the latest being for 10 nights over Christmas and New Year 2025/2026.

As always, the service and helpfulness of the staff at WMV was first class and the apartment was warm, comfortable and welcoming and had been thoroughly inspected and cleaned ahead of us arriving. We stayed in 51 (we have stayed in this apartment several times), which is spacious, has three bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities and is on an upper floor, which gives great views over the marina, from the balcony which is accessed directly from the kitchen/living room.

All fixtures and fittings are of good quality, and service everything you will need for a short or longer term stay; having stayed in 51 several times, we feel it would now benefit from a refurbishment to modernise it and refresh it, and the tech (TV/AV) is relatively old making connectivity to devices and streaming services clunky; the WiFi is however easy to access, reliable and fast enough for normal everyday use (we had several guests using it at the same time, without issues).

There is a Bar/Restaurant on site, the Marina View, which serves a variety of food of excellent quality. We went there on New Years Eve for a festive celebration (a private function organised by Marina View) and thoroughly enjoyed everything about the event; it was great value and was extremely popular.

We find the location of WMV ideal, being a relatively short walk into Bowness via 'off-road' paths or pavements (these can be harder to negotiate after dark, so a good torch is recommended if you don't intend to use a local taxi) where you will find plenty of shops, bars, restaurants, a small cinema and visitor attractions. You can also access the pleasure boats and/or buses if you want to travel further afield, without your car (a good option when its busy and local roads can be busy). WMV is also only a short walk to the local ferry that takes visitors to the Western shore of Windermere, where more walking/exploring is an option.

Finally, there are no gym/pool/spa facilities on site and I don't believe there are any negotiated arrangements between WMV and local health club/spa operators (which used to be the case); this is not a show-stopper, however, it may be regarded by some customers as a 'gap' for a premium accommodation provider. Local hotels do offer gym/pool/spa services, though they must be booked directly with them; I would expect WMV staff will be happy to provide recommendations.

Overall, another great experience of staying at WMV, we will definitely consider returning in future and we do recommend staying there to others.

We had a great weekend away with 2 other couples. The apartment was spacious and well equipped and the only negative thing I could say was that we had to take our own Christmas lights!

We have stayed in this apartment a number of times now. The location is great, just a short walk from the ferry and Bowness with plenty of walks from the doorstep.

The apartment is also dog friendly.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Windermere Marina Village. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm welcome, the stunning views, and great atmosphere. The accommodation was spotless, stylishly decorated, and incredibly comfortable – everything we needed for a memorable getaway.

The location couldn’t be better. Tucked right on the edge of the marina, it offered beautiful waterside views and easy access to the lake and nearby walks. We loved waking up to the stunning surroundings and spending the evenings watching all the incredible MasterCraft boats come in and out . It’s also just a short stroll or drive into Bowness, which is full of charming shops, restaurants, and activities.

The facilities at the Village were excellent – well-maintained, private, and thoughtfully laid out. Parking was easy, and everything felt safe and well-organized. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made sure our stay was seamless from start to finish.

We can’t wait to return! Windermere Marina Village is a true gem in the Lake District and the perfect spot for a romantic break, a family holiday, or a peaceful retreat. Highly recommended!

Stayed here on numerous occasions and in different apartments! But 51 is our favourite and it’s dog friendly!
Fabulous everytime, staff are very helpful and it has everything we need. Home from Home.
We will definitely be coming back!

2nd time staying in this apartment, excellent location short walk into centre, no need to drive once there. Just one criticism of the apartment, shower cubicles could be bigger, otherwise everything as is as you would expect, nice touch having the doggie bags, they enjoyed the treats.

We had a lovely stay as we always do the only thing I would say that needs attention is the balcony it’s looks dirty and has a lot of moss growing around the edges and we have stayed in the same apartment the last 3 times and each time I was going to mention it but haven’t but this time it’s a lot worse and really needs attention
