We have just stayed in this stunning apartment, it is truly beautiful and has quality fittings and furniture. It is decorated to a high standard and is in a superb location for a holiday to Lake Windermere. Communication with the company pre-arrival and during our stay was excellent.
We had an absolutely wonderful time in the stunning location. I would highly recommend. The apartment was wonderful for our needs had everything that we wanted, perfect!
Lovely apartment. Very helpful and friendly staff. The location is very close to the centre of bowness and on the lakeside. Great views of the marina. The boat house served a lovely meal and close to apartment. Will book again.
A fabulous apartment with an easy short walk in to the village. A relaxing and peaceful stay, would have loved to have stopped longer and will definitely be back.
Our party required an accessible apartment for a wheelchair. #45 was excellently laid out and had easy accessible access to the large deck over looking the marina. We enjoyed an wonderful stay.
This wasn't our first stay & won't be our last! From booking our apartment & contacting them for amendments to our booking I found each member of staff very friendly & helpful. Location & views of the marina are excellent. The restaurant/bar equally good & staff very friendly too. We didn't want to leave our fantastic apartment.
Lovely apartment, spacious, well equipped. The only thing missing was shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms.
Always a great experience. We have used the Marina nearly 20 times now and would never consider anywhere else to stay. Great for Bowness in the evening and great to get over to the west lake shore for hikes.
There was nothing not to love about this property. Ideally situated, south facing balcony, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The accommodation was spacious and the kitchen well equipped. We definitely would stay again and recommend to others.
Our apartment lived up to the images on line. it really was a treat to stay somewhere so well equipped and luxurious. Enough seating, tableware, plenty of quality glasses and enough outdoor seating for everyone in our group of girls. The box containing household items was useful too. The "Bothy" sauna and cold tin bath was exhilarating too! We will book again next year! Thank you Tracy
Pre-arrival details were spot on. Quick check-in. Small bag of teas and coffees and milk offered at reception. Great first impressions as we walked in and wonderful view of the marina. Once unpacked and kettle on, sofas comfy well positioned. Kitchen had everything you can want. Had to read instructions to operate microwave but all OK. Plenty of utensils/cutlery/dishes/glasses. Ample storage for clothes and beds/duvet comfortable Maps supplied for walking into Bowness, nice touch. Space in bathrooms a little tight but OK, water hot for showers etc, ample towels Sun seems not to get onto ba...more
This was are first time at this property it was really homely and we are come back to here next year
Once again we were fortunate with the weather and had wonderful days out. This apartment suits our needs perfectly, we are looking forward to experiencing the new walk-in shower as the bath is a little high for small older beings. Looking forward to March.
Beautiful, well equiped apartment overlooking the marina. Good value for money and an ideal base for exploring The Lakes. Would go again.
From the initial booking through to checkout, everything was dealt with professionally and with a smile. Accessible apartment was roomy and well set out. The Marina restaurant was a delight and the staff again were very helpful and accommodating. This was our third visit.
Excellent location and outstanding service from the reception team. The apartment was immaculate, well furnished and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen, including a washer-dryer. It was also spotlessly clean throughout. The peaceful location overlooking the marina was a real highlight, and the on-site restaurant was excellent too. We had a fabulous stay and very much look forward to returning!
This is the second time my and my wife has stayed here it is very peaceful and relaxing we will be back here next year at the some times on our wedding anniversary ones again thank for a wonderful time. Mr Michael savage and Mrs Lynn savage
This was the 3rd time we stayed in the Marina in 3 different properties. We had a lovely week the apartment is well kept generally but would benefit from some cleaning products we couldn’t find any for cleaning the counters bath etc but you get plenty dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid cloths and towels . Beds are very comfortable and has all mod cons but a sound bar would be good in the living room with the tv , welcome pack of milk tea and coffee was a bit skimpy compared with other places we have stayed . Some local produce would be nice due to the area its in also a pizza tray would ...more
We stayed for a week. Great house has everything you need home from home. Really clean. Good beds comfortable and king size. All on suite bathroom, good size. Great location over looking the marina. Only about 15 minutes walk into town we done most days either in the day or at night for dinner. At night would recommend taking a torch.
Overall, this is a very nice place to stay well appointed and good quality. Overlooking the marina and being able to open a door to the balcony were two pleasing features. Some small suggested improvements: bigger bowls in the kitchen, a mirror in the main room to reflect more light, sharper knives, a frying pan the right size for the hob and changing food waste caddy more often when guests stay for a longer time.
Apartment 46 fitted us perfectly. The spacious rooms were ideal for limited mobility, using both a wheelchair and rollator. The wetroom was spacious and the provision of a shower chair was a great help. A couple more hand grips would have been helpful safety-wise. The kitchen was very well equipped and ideal for self catering. Super large hallway for dog needs and coat and bag hanging. Restaurant enjoyed next door, Sunday lunch recommended. A super stay indeed.
The marina village complex offers a peaceful, tranquil place to stay. Ideally located within a few minutes walk of the centre of Bowness yet far enough away to be away from the bustle of the crowds. The apartment is in the 3 rd floor and offers a pleasant view of the marina. This is the second time we have stayed in this apartment and whilst it is well furnished and decorated there was evidence of wear and tear since our last visit six months previously. The tariff is top end and it will need some TLC over winter to remain worthy of the cost as there are lots of other apartments and other p...more
Had a really lovely break with our two grandchildren. Beautiful property very comfortable. Couple of little issues but mostly fixed quickly. A micro wave would have been handy but that doesn’t take away from the very well furnished kitchen. Would definitely go back again.
Excellent few days, really enjoyed ourselves. Marina view was perfect place for a drink or three. Fourth time there.
We had a fantastic stay at Windermere Marina Village. The apartment was spotless, beautifully presented and had everything we needed, including a dishwasher and washing machine. It was extremely comfortable, and the views from the balcony were absolutely stunning. The location was perfect for exploring Windermere and the surrounding area. We honestly couldn't fault anything and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!
Excellent holiday let, nicely presented and nice and clean on our arrival. For us the location was excellent - no you are not right in the centre of Bowness but we didn't want to be and you're only a 10 minute walk from the town centre. We had a few issues trying to keep the let at a good temperature with it mostly being far too hot for our liking (despite it being October and cold outside!) and only having radiator thermostats and one thermostat in the hall to control temperature. A few things - i.e. the washing machine and dishwasher in particular - look a bit tired and could use replaced, h...more
Beautiful flat , which is immaculately clean and well appointed. This is our second stay . Great position for exploring the area with fabulous parking and buses on the doorstep. The Marina is beautiful , peaceful and a great location.
I have been staying at Windermere Marina since the 80’s when they were all cottages and have always been very pleased. Apartment 47 is a favourite of mine along with my partner and cousin and we have already booked again for next year. I think this will be the 5th time we have stayed in this apartment, However the one thing that is lacking is that there is no shelf in the shower room to put your toiletries on. Hence I have to put them on the floor which is not acceptable. There needs to be a shelf underneath the mirror. I can’t see this would be a problem. I did mention this in my review la...more

Fabulous apartment well appointed with everything you need for a very nice stay . Couldn’t fault anything
My wife and I had three nights stay at the Marina and we had a wonderful time The apartment was huge and had everything you needed. The view from the balcony of all the boats was lovely it was so peaceful and relaxing being there. Would highly recommend a stay here if you are looking to stay at Windermere
A nice place to explore Windermere lake. Every thing you need for a holiday is provided. An information folder would be helpful with boat times, take a ways etc . I had to purchase some larger mugs for my morning tea as the ones provided are very small. Instructions for the cooker , microwave would have also been helpful. That said I happily return.
First class accommodation. Spotless rooms and spacious. The team have thought of everything even down to giving you milk when you arrive for a nice cuppa. Beautiful location and views. Lovely to have a restaurant to walk too. Basically it had everything we needed. We will re book again we were that happy with the accommodation and trust me I am fussy.
Great to spend time in Bowness. The Marina village scored very highly on all aspects of accommodation and hospitality. We will stay here again without doubt
Lovely townhouse and facilities included everything you would require Fold up chair in balcony was damaged so you couldn't use Double bed felt bit small Overall good stay
Wonderful stay great views quiet peaceful location fabulous. Restaurant dissapointing with overpriced food
Windermere Marina has everything- location , views , accommodation, beautiful food in the restaurant and staff are so helpful - we had amazing weekend- Thank you
We recently stayed at Claife Heights Cottage and found the property excellent in all respects. The staff were friendly and welcoming, even providing a goodie pack for our dog upon arrival, together with basic consumables for ourselves. The property was clean and spacious providing a great base for our stay. I would highly recommend this property and Windermere Marina Village for anyone wanting to stay in the Lakes.
We were a party of 6 and stayed in Townhouse 5 Fri-Mon. The house was beautiful, plenty of space, very clean and good quality furnishings. Kitchen fully equipped. Everything was thought of . Ground floor at the side of the marina it was so calming and peaceful , we all loved it . Only negative was when people arrived at the one adjacent to ours the decking was no longer private ! Partial screening would have helped . This was the only negative for the property and whilst we would return we would chose another with no balcony/decking at either side .
Stayed here for a weekend as a family of 4. The marina itself is a nice place to stay, even if you just sit on the balcony and watch the boats. It's only a short walk into Bowness as well. The apartment itself was very good. Nothing to fault. Overall, highly receommended.
Apartment was brilliant friendly staff would definitely Recomend to friends & Would stay in ground floor apartment next time three flights of stairs a struggle to carry everything in nice view over marina Windemere only 15 minutes walk away
Great location, 10 min walk to Bowness centre. Apartment had everything needed, even washer dryer. Would recommend.
Lovely cottage, very comfortable and warm. All facilities on site were excellent. Not very close to other amenities by foot as pathway to Bowness has no lighting and the road pathway was the same.
Very pleasant stay, plenty of space and equipment for 3 couples. A point you may wish to address was the windows on the top floor don’t open fully as they catch the blind when raised
