Property and location were fantastic. A couple of small complaints as we did arrive during a heatwave and temperatures of 26 - 29 degrees. • Could be doing with better fans in the property • lighter bedding/quilt in the summer months Apart from the above everything else was very good.
We have been visiting the marina for 30 years with our young and now adult children. First class accommodation and excellent location, near enough to Bowness to walk.
Great apartment, very tastefully furnished, very clean on arrival. All needs catered for, we had a great time and will be booking again.
- wasnt cleaned enough there were crumbs on kitchen surfaces - bedsheets were dirty, one had a hole the others had stains - dusty as well and cobwebs and dead moths found - NOT ENOUGH TOILET ROLLS - would suggest including hand wash, shampoo and conditioner & body wash considering for what u pay - upstairs loft bed is not very comfortable - would be nice if there was a lift to reach apartment as theres many flights of stairs - service/help was a bit difficult to get a hold off especially after 5 - beautiful view tho x
The views from the apartment were fantastic. The apartment was spacious and well decorated. We had everything we could need for the break. It was very clean and well decorated. The apartment complex provides a great yacht club for lunches and evening meals which were great value for money. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. A thoroughly comfortable and enjoyable stay in a beautiful apartment ideally located. All facilities were excellent and efficient. Pre-arrival information was thorough and helpful. Reception staff pleasant and professional, only too willing to help and assist. Parking was very convenient and well lit. Lift to the apartment was much appreciated especially for moving luggage. Location was quiet but very convenient for a short walk into Bowness. On site restaurant and its bar useful and pleasant.
We booked a 5 night stay at apartment 32. As we entered marina reception staff were very informative . In entering our apartment we just opened the door and wow we were amazed at the accommodation. Everything was very clean and everything you would need was in it. Coffee machine , dishwasher , microwave, freezer & fridge, washer, & more. We will certainly be booking again .
Always a great experience. We have used the Marina nearly 20 times now and would never consider anywhere else to stay. Great for Bowness in the evening and great to get over to the west lake shore for hikes.

This was one of at least a dozen stays that my wife and myself have enjoyed over the years at the Windermere Marina. We can remember the little shop that used to be on site and the early apartments which shows just how long we have been going there. All change now! Our apartment was faultless, and a welcome refuge from the heatwave, although Apartment 19 had a parapet that would enable us to sit outside whatever the weather. Faultless. The apartment was well equipped and beautifully decorated. Stunning views. We were there for a wedding so it was very conveniently placed to attend all three of the venues involved. Nice to be able to have a nightcap on the terrace of the bar every evening. The staff were extremely helpful and professional and a big call out for Liberty who was super. Highly recommended.
We have stayed at Windermere Marina many times over the years and rented a number of apartments, all have been very good but Windward 26 has been exceptional in every way. Only suggestion we have, a good electric Fan would have been a nice addition on the hot days.
Marina Village Windermere is the most beautiful place to stay. The views from our Apartment were amazing Very easy check in with information via email also staff in reception very knowledgeable and gave us all the information we needed The apartment had everything we needed . Beds were very comfortable and gorgeous bedding supplied. The fully fitted Kitchen had enough for all our party of 5. Both showers were easy to use and a really good size.
Apartment excellent. This was our second year that we booked the apartment Only one small criticism is a lack of instruction books for the TV. We could not master it - although a call to the office and a man came and showed us how to get it to work and how to switch between the various operating systems
A very comfortable apartment for 2 people. Ideally situated for a short walk into Bowness. Parking space directly outside which helps unloading and loading. Great welcoming staff in the main office.
I love the marina village and have loved staying there since childhood. The prices have increased a lot (as has everywhere I suppose) and the way it is run has changed a lot. I was surprised that no last minute discounts are available anymore, and it’s full price even when booking for next day arrival (when there is still quite a lot of availability). Cannot rate this apartment any higher. From the high quality decor and interior to the location and service from reception, it is high class on all levels. The apartment is jaw dropping and everything in it is quality. The location has its own marina, beach to access the lake, restaurant and the views are spectacular from every area. Nothing is too much trouble and we will definitely be returning, it doesn’t feel like a holiday let, it’s a home from home!

From the moment the young lady with long hair greets you one realises this is a well run place , hence we have stayed here many times over the years . The site is clean, tidy and the perfect venue for accessing everything the South Lakes has to offer . We take our dog and it is great for them too . Doggy bins and bags a plenty . The accommodation is spotless , comfortable and has everything you need . . Nothing to complain about . Had a fabulous 4 nights in Apt 18, superbly presented with a large deck looking out over the marina. 10/10.
We enjoyed our stay . Good facilities , location and plenty of room for everyone including the dog .
Our only less than positive comment is that the sofa was very uncomfortable and difficult to sit five people
I have only one fault and that’s there is no plug socket next to the mirror in the second bedroom it was awkward to blow dry my hair. Plus tv is complicated to work and would love to have Netflix to watch a film when it’s raining.

We had a fantastic stay at Windermere Marina Village. The apartment was spotless, beautifully presented and had everything we needed, including a dishwasher and washing machine. It was extremely comfortable, and the views from the balcony were absolutely stunning. The location was perfect for exploring Windermere and the surrounding area. We honestly couldn't fault anything and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!
Beautiful flat , which is immaculately clean and well appointed. This is our second stay . Great position for exploring the area with fabulous parking and buses on the doorstep. The Marina is beautiful , peaceful and a great location.
We are a group of 14 booking 2 apartments in Windermere Marina Village. This is our first time visiting Lake District. If i can choose 10 to the above ratings, i would. The stay was all excellent. The accommodation has been 1 of the best for all of us - spacious, clean, convenient with a stunning view. The Marina View restaurant was excellent too. Staff was helpful. I cannot find a single point to complain about. Thanks and we will definitely be back again. Thanks for the great holiday.
We loved our four night break together with our two dogs. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the accommodation spacious, clean, and equipped with everything for self catering if needed. Secure parking for our car right outside the door with ample parking for visitors. The beds were enormous and very comfortable and the view of the marina from the lounge and large south facing balcony very pleasant and relaxing. After a break of a few years we returned to the marina and it was as good as we remembered. Spotlessly clean, well furnished with excellent kitchen appliances all making for a very comfortable stay.
Very much enjoyed our stay. Cannot recommend it enough. Excellent accommodation, views. Restaurant was amazing.
A wonderful weekend with the family. Quite and peaceful, enjoyable watching the various bouts coming and going. Good location for travelling without going through Bowness. Would have been great if the sun shone on the balconies.
Having stayed at Marina village on numerous occasions i was expecting a very high standard of accommodation. On arrival noticed that the kick boards at the bottom of the kitchen units appear loose with the unfinished edges showing. Reported to staff on departure. I would also suggest that the level of utensils in this appartment did not meet the usual high standards. small things but they do make a difference to the stay. Overall a little dissapointed but will still return to Marina village, maybe not to this appt.
Have stayed in this beautiful dog friendly apartment on many occasions and it never disappoints. It has now been made more homely with the addition of pictures, plants etc. Lovely large balcony to relax after a day out with lovely views of the marina.

We had a lovely time in aparyment 51 at Windermere marina village. The apartment is very spacious. Location is great for exploring the area. It just needs a TV in the 3rd bedroom to be perfect.
We have stayed many times at the Marina Village and always enjoy our stays. The apartment was fairly well equipped but tired in places & would benefit from some TLC. There were stains on the ceiling in the lower shower area from water damage, I assume from the shower above. The carpets also had what looked like burn marks in areas. There were no champagne flutes, which is always disappointing but we were happy to use wine glasses. The upstairs/ attic room was incredibly hot, even when the days cooled down, opening the velux wasn’t ideal either as it was covered in cobwebs! One thing I would...more

What a delightful property with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the ground floor and the living room/dining room and kitchen upstairs. The beds were super comfy. I've never slept this well when staying elsewhere. The balcony was also upstairs which has a view of the lagoon surrounded by habitat. Okay so you cant see the marina which is just around the corner but the property stayed cool throughout our stay which was a blessing during July's heatwave. We stayed for a week in Post Knott cottage, this is our second visit to Windermere marina village, the cottages are perfect for central location, beautiful views and a short walk into Windermere. It was noticeable the cottages have had a revamp. Couple of things we did notice were, the back of the sofa & window ledge in the bedrooms were dusty and the carpet repair in the front room wasn't the best (under the heater). The welcome pack was great - our dog loved the treats. Overall our stay was lovely, great week exploring and would recommend.
The Customer Service team were excellent, very helpful. We travelled with a dog and the team were very respectful of this, including a dog welcome pack. The lodge was great, a little worn but comfortable. Veranda needed a bit of a clean. On site restaurant lovely (upstairs particularly) but a bit pricey. Comments made to be helpful not critical. Great holiday, great accommodation, lovely resort, and lovely staff.
A beautiful place to stay. The apartment provided everything we needed. The Marina provided everything we needed. The restaurant served lovely food and the staff were very friendly. A very enjoyable weekend.
Top floor apartment. Two bedrooms. Not suitable for people with difficulty climbing stairs. Stairs are very shallow treds. Overall comfortable place. Not the comforts of other units we’ve stayed in before. Kitchen floor was sticky. Perhaps something housekeeping had cleaned it with? Box provision in kitchen of washing up liquid, kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets, cleaning cloths/sponge, tea towels, bin bags. Oven super clean. Very pleasant stay, plenty of space and equipment for 3 couples. A point you may wish to address was the windows on the top floor don’t open fully as they catch the blind when raised
