Very cosy accommodation. Only downside was how light it was at night being all glass making it hard to sleep. Some of the glass had no blinds and as people were walking past the fence regularly it felt less private.
Only mirror in bathroom so struggle to use hair dryer.
Could do with some hanging/ storage .

Thank you so much for your lovely review and kind words about The Roost – we’re delighted you found it cosy and enjoyed your stay with us. We’re sorry to hear that the light levels at night affected your sleep. Just to clarify, only two of the small windows do not have blinds – this is due to the unique construction of The Roost. All side elevation windows are fitted with blinds to ensure privacy, and as this part of the estate has very little footfall, guests are rarely overlooked. We do appreciate your feedback, though, and will continue to review ways to make our spaces as comfortable as possible. Regarding storage: the bed itself is designed to lift up (as mentioned in the digital guide) and offers generous storage beneath. We’ll make this clearer for future guests. Thank you also for pointing out the mirror situation – that’s really helpful, and we’re already looking at solutions to add another mirror in a more convenient spot for using a hairdryer. We’re grateful for your constructive comments, and we’re so pleased you enjoyed the accommodation overall. We’d love to welcome you back again soon for an even more relaxing stay. Warm regards,

Everything about our stay was just perfect.

Hosts were great and excellent with communication even before arrival to the day we left.

Our stay just so happened to coincide with extremely wet and windy weather, but in the end, we had the most wonderful time! The staff at Walnut Barn Estate are incredibly kind and helpful. If you want to shut the door and do your own thing you can, but if you ever need help or advice, they're more than happy to help out. In terms of the property itself, it is tucked away in a private part of Walnut Barn Estate and is like your own little haven in nature. We loved sitting in the hot tub in the rain and soaking in the luxurious freestanding copper tub! If you want extra privacy, there are blinds all around the property.

Also, it's worth noting that there's loads of kitchen equipment in the cupboards, so you could definitely enjoy cooking a meal or two there. Other notable features were the bed (which was incredibly comfortable), the cosy log burner, and generally just how peaceful the property was. Even mid-storm, with the rain hammering down on the glass outside, it was so tranquil and quiet!

There is soap provided, a hair dryer in the bathroom drawer, tea and biscuits, and a few uht milks in the fridge. A word of warning re the shower: check all the shower knobs before turning on/close the shower door first. I excitedly went to turn the shower on and a jet of water sprayed my partner as he walked past. I hadn't realised the body jets would come on. Needless to say, it was pretty amusing. Once we got the hang of the shower, it was easy to use!

If you get caught out with wet weather like we did, don't let it put you off. Even if you decide to spend the weekend hibernating inside, it is SO worth it. Thank you,Walnut Barn crew!

What can I say, we had the most amazing weekend
From the moment we were greeted by Sharon who was very friendly & helpful, Olivia’s roost has literally everything you need for a relaxing stay the bed was so comfy, the shower was powerful & hot , the kitchen had all you needed (even an air fryer)
The copper bath is a very indulgent luxury
The garden space was great very private , lovely decking area , also there was a pizza oven
The hot tub was wonderful especially at night when all the garden was lit up with the lights around the garden , then chilling with a few cheeky g&t’s on the day bed whilst everything was so quiet all you could here was the owls hooting
The old inn pub is just a 5 minute walk away & oh my gosh they do the most amazing food
Mark & his wife were also very friendly & chatty & shown us around the newest accommodation which will be ready soon , it’s just stunning I don’t want a stay here I NEED a stay
All the accommodation is very private & all different so you could always come back & stay in something different
We most definitely will be back , we had the most amazing & relaxing weekend

We had a fantastic time away in a wonderful place.
Olivia's Roost has everything you could possibly need, from a comfy bed to a Tassimo machine. Everything has been thought about. Spotlessly clean when we arrived, and tea, coffee and milk all waiting for you.
Tucked away with own parking space, secluded and quiet
The bath is amazing and we even managed to open the doors during our wet stay, the hot tub was amazing ,
would be such a fab place to watch for stars. We heard the Owls which was amazing.
Brought fresh eggs for breakfast, amazing.
Had an issue with the heating, called someone and they came over straight away to look at it for us.
Lots of other amazing places to stay and we will definitely be back to try the turkey or shepherds hut.
