A lovely weekend stay in the warm, comfortable, well-equipped Cow'ouse. Enjoyed the recommended Little Wolds vineyard lunch - an easy walk/stagger through the dale. Rachel and Dave are excellent hosts, with no request too big or small. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

Lovely, clean, quiet cottage with a great view of the animals. The farm is different and is defiantly worth trying for something different.

Gorgeous little cottage, very relaxing. The beds are absolutely huge. To say this is on a working farm we hardly heard any noise whilst in the property. So nice to be in the middle of nowhere, only 5 minutes off the Yorkshire wold way for some lovely walks and scenery. 10 minutes into Beverley which has the cutest little market on a Saturday. Overall amazing break will definitely return!

Shame we only stayed for 4 nights, it should have been longer. If you are wanting a peaceful relaxing break with hosts who make you feel so welcome, then this is the place.

We stayed in the Cow ‘Ouse for 4 nights and it was the perfect getaway. The house had everything we needed including washing machine, dishwasher, microwave etc. The bed was massive and super comfy and Dave and Rachel were so friendly and accommodating. Our 1.5 year old son had the time of his life, getting to sit in Dave’s combine harvester and playing with the mini digger around the farm. I loved feeding all the animals every day and getting to know their names - Betty the goat being my favourite! We were so sad to leave, it felt like we really relaxed while we were there and everyone was so friendly. We can’t wait to go back, hopefully sooner rather than later!! Thanks farmer Dave and Rachel!!!

The cottage was well equipped, clean and very comfortable. The farm is peaceful, with good views, and some entertaining livestock eg goats, chickens and guinea fowl. Good walks nearby and a reasonable distance from York, Beverley and Hull via some very pretty villages. Excellent hosts with good recommendations for restaurants. Will definitely return.

The Cow ‘Ouse is compact but bursting with everything you could need, all the home comforts. Kitchen has a full range of utensils and crockery, not to mention the full range hob and oven, washing machine/ dryer and dishwasher. Super king size bed was extremely comfortable and very good quality linens. Great shower and again very well appointed fittings. The garden was secure and it was wonderful to enjoy the goats, sheep, ducks, hens and guinea fowl in the field directly opposite. Walking around the farm and having access to so much off road tracks was wonderful. The owners were around, chatty when required but also respectful of our peace. Thank you for all the little extras of toiletries and the delicious scones and homemade jam were most welcome after our journey. We will definitely return, just need to find some time in our schedule.

We have stayed here a few times now and I am sure we will be back again. Love to see the goats donkeys, lambs chickens horses and the dogs as often as we can. Such a peaceful happy place. Racheal, Dave and family are so welcoming and friendly.

We had the perfect short break at The Cow Ouse. The property was beautiful, spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming and were more than happy to offer advice on the local area and places to visit. As keen walkers, the location of the property is fantastic. With the Yorkshire Wolds literally on the doorstep you can walk for miles with the dog off the lead whilst taking in the amazing beautiful views. The Cow Ouse is a proper little hidden gem.
