Villa Chiara is a contemporary villa for up to 13 guests at the foot of the hills of Northern Tuscany, close to the natural hot springs of Monsummano Terme. The position is ideally placed for visiting Florence, Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano and more, with easy access to the elegant beaches of Versilia too. Spacious and well-appointed, it has five ensuite double bedrooms, three of which have an extra single-bed, so the house sleeps 10 to 13 guests.

The villa is set in its own private garden with views of the mountains and of the old fortified village of Montecatini Alto, still perched up on its strategic hilltop. The private swimming pool is an 'L' shape, with the main body at 11 x 7 metres plus an extra section of 4 x 5 mt, depth 1.4 to 1.55 mt, with shaded. furnished areas for relaxing. As a further delight, the house also has a large jacuzzi, a sauna, turkish bath and a gym, making this villa perfect for utter relaxation.

Nice villa but pricey and extra costs mount up

This is a nice villa. It's not in a particularly nice or interesting area, but if you have a car this does not really matter, there are restaurants and a supermarket within a short drive. However, it is quite expensive, and to make this worse the extra costs really mount up on top of the basic costs. For example, using the sauna costs extra money every time. Worse, there is an extra charge if you go over a certain electricity limit. We were told that this was unlikely to be an issue, and there were only 6 of us staying in a villa that can accommodate 12 people, and we did not use many appliances etc but we still had to pay extra for the electricity. You also have to pay a €200 bill for cleaners at the end of your stay, and they expect you to hand over a €700 cash deposit which is a lot of cash to have to bring. It's a nice villa but all the extra additional costs left a slightly bitter aftertaste when it is quite expensive to start with.

We had a great family holiday, with a wide range of ages in our group, from two babies to grandparents, plenty of space for everyone. The villa has 5 good sized en suite bedrooms and the large pool was enjoyed by the children and adults. We also appreciated being able to walk to local restaurants.
