We loved our week's stay here. On the first floor of a big old house, this very spacious and comfortable apartment has been carefully restored. It feels much more like a home than a 'rental'. There is a terrace to dine on with fantastic views to the Tuscan hills. Charming Moroccan style bathroom and well appointed kitchen with 'horse trough' sink. The village location is great, a couple of minutes walk up to the pretty main street with cafes and shops. The sights of Sienna, San Gimignano, Volterra etc are all within a half hour's drive, but mostly we enjoyed staying home in Dan's House!
Wonderful welcome fabulous setting Five star with bells a real treat We loved it Alla prossima B&T x
Amazing stay, in a nice secluded environment, a great place to recharge. Very nice owners they are very attentive to details. Would love to visit again soon!
The moment you arrive you will feel transported to another time. The old village and surroundings provide a splendid backdrop for this charming villa. All the right touches are in place from the kitchen to the pool. You will find yourself relaxing and soaking up all that makes staying here so memorable. The local store is well-stocked and there are wonderful places to eat in Bocca di Magra. A dip in the sea and trips to Tuscan towns will complete your getaway. The owners live nearby and are gracious, helpful and readily available. A delightful place to experience Toscana!
The apartment was lovely, perfect for 2, although with the help of our hosts we managed to comfortably fit in our adult daughter. The location is idyllic, staff charming and the wine is superb. On arrival, tired and hot, we could have done with some help transferring luggage to the apartment ( not near the car park). We did point out but it wasn’t too much of an issue, that the fridge only kept thinks slightly cool not chilled. Overall it was a super break and we would most certainly return.
My extended family (6 adults, 1 infant) had a beautiful stay at Villa Amorosa. We especially enjoyed the swimming pool (completely fenced in; a plus for those with children!) and the screens in all of the windows (there were some bugs in the house, as it's a in a pretty rustic, remote locale, but the screens in the windows significantly cut down on that and allowed for a nice breeze). We also had a cook come in and prepare a beautiful meal (thank you for helping us set this up, Kim and Dan!) The house is a bit of a drive from the grocery store and town, but it worked wonderfully for us, a...more
The house was exactly as described, in a very beautiful Tuscan setting with great views of Campiglia Marittima and the sea. The house has lots of places to sit, relax, eat, in sun or shade, as required. The wood fired pizza oven was gainfully employed as was the wood fired BBQ. The unsurfaced road and access track to it was a bit bumpy and narrow for the SUV we hired, but manageable with care, and was walkable to Campiglia in 20 mins or so. We were early in the season and the garden was still a bit wild, with opinion divided as to the degree of charm that added! The surrounding area is ...more
