We had a wonderful Easter weekend break staying in the Courtyard Cottage. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a home away from home. It was thoughtfully equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need. The cottage was stylish and very comfortable.

My girls were absolutely delighted with the Easter egg hunt. It was such a magical and memorable touch that really made the stay unforgettable. Feeding the animals and collecting eggs every morning was another highlight. In fact it is difficult to list what was the best as there were so many. The walks in the wood, sitting on the swing listening to the birds and the running water or just sitting in the summer house reading a book.

The team at Upper Vobster farm were all lovely. A special thank you to Natalie - your warmth and attention to detail made all the difference. It truly wouldn’t have been the same without you. We would love to return!

Courtyard Cottage is incredibly comfortable with all amenities (full kitchen) good heating and everything needed for a stay to explore the local area as well a beautiful walks around the rural property
The beds were super comfortable and it is quiet and peaceful

Everything about our stay at Upper Vobster Farm was absolutely incredible. Every detail was attended to with care and warmth and nothing was ever an issue for the staff in supporting us with our stay. The area around and the wonderful service 24/7 from the manager and the owners are incredible. You can really feel this place is run by absolute dedication of service to people and their wellbeing.

My parents stayed in the cottage on a last minute trip. They found the perfect place! The cottage is set in idyllic surroundings, offering peace and tranquility but still with the action of a farm to enjoy. The cottage itself was perfect offering all the amenities, decorated in a clean and modern way, but still very warm and welcoming - complete with a Christmas Tree to make it feel home from home! Above all the hospitality from Nathalie in accommodating our last minute request and kindness with my parents was superb - thank you!

Staying at Upper Vobster farm is always an absolute joy - the standard never drops and has remained consistent through all the years of staying here previously.
The location is stunning with great walks up through the woods and fields
(the abundance wild garlic and bluebell time in the woods in springtime is beyond beautiful)

We booked Courtyard Cottage and Valley view, both were wonderfully appointed and set in the most idyllic and tranquil location.
Attention to detail was excellent, we had fluffy robes and were welcomed with delicious home made treats, freshly baked with the duck eggs from the farm.
We enjoyed feeding the hens, ducks, bantams and sheep. Our grandson especially enjoyed collecting the freshly laid eggs too.
We thoroughly recommend Upper Vobster Farm, for so many reasons, the stunning cottages, the location and tranquillity, the attention to detail and service from Nat the farm manager. The photos are amazing on the website, however in reality it’s so much better.

Beeing in heaven can not be more spectacular than staying in this beautiful space. The love in every detail is unbelievable. The nature all around is so stilling. Every were you walk are beautiful places to sit frown and enjoy the amazing nature. My daughter loved to feed the animals. Feeling home from the first moment inclusive. We had a wonderful stay at Vobster Farm and a truly magical and memorable time .
The farm is stunning and the cottages are are beautiful . We were shown amazing hospitality from the moment we arrived from a welcome hamper to lots of suggestions for eating out and days out .
We were invited to feed to animals each morning too which was a great experience and really made our trip every special .

Ideally located for Bath, Glastonbury, Wells, Longleat. Rare to find a place where you can stay for 2 nights or 20 nights or what best fits your requirements. Quiet with the only noisy distraction the hooting of an owl at night! Lovely walks and a no-dog seating area where you can be amused by the Polish chickens and intrigued by the castle with moat duck house. We had a very welcoming and relaxing short break in the Courtyard Cottage September 2023. Plus, the Talbot at Mells is only a mile away and offers superb food, friendly atmosphere and probably the best service we've ever experienced!

We had a fantastic stay at Courtyard Cottage. The the standard of accommodation and attention to detail was excellent. It was both luxurious and welcoming. The staff were extremely helpful and the location and surrounding countryside is superb. We had catering on our evening of arrival and during the workshop and the food was amazing. The workshop was excellent, really well run, informative and fun. We would definitely like to return at some stage.

Light, spacious and enchanting - residing in the cottage was a real treat. We especially liked the well-equipped kitchen. Everything is beautifully furnished, the countryside is wonderful and the location is relatively central. We went clothes shopping in Bath, to Frome for food and generally did a lot of travelling. But the best part is the walks on the farm, with lambs and goats and chickens (fresh eggs are also available).... rural idyll with 1A cottage. Absolutely recommendable !!!

Whether for only one nights stay or more, Upper Vobster Farm is always a favourite to visit.

Courtyard Cottage is a spacious and beautifully light area to be in - a large open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room area, with a separate bathroom with shower and a very comfortable Super King Bed in another spacious room with plenty of hanging and drawer space.

Easy parking opposite the front door entrance.


Situated in the country amidst other rental areas on the Farm, with magnificent views of fields, forest and hills to walk
and enjoy.


Always depart with a deep sense of being deeply rested and nurtured from staying at Upper Vobster Farm - the location, the walks and the attention to the minutest detail taken care of by the owners.

When staying away from home, it is great to find a quality place that is welcoming, well decorated, you can feel the care put into everything, and in fact you feel special by just walking into the place. Friendly people, ease of parking, and beautiful grounds for going walking on make all the difference as well. These are all available in abundance at Upper Vobster Farm whenever I visit. Everything here felt like needed more days/ nights to justify the experience. It was impeccable- one of the best stays so far for the experience it provided.
Host was so warm and really accommodating, rooms were excellent and kids/ us loved the stay. We did not dine here at all - so no experience about it. Since it was self catering- we enjoyed a meal preparation, picnic. Cottage has oven also- so you can bake as well. kitchen is well equipped.

It was great to be back at the lovely Vobster Farm with my family. The cottage is very comfortable, spacious and bright. The children love the fields and the farm animals. We come back every year and I highly recommend it!

I don’t often take the time to write reviews but Upper Vobster Farm is truly deserving of this time. The accommodation itself is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. We wanted for nothing. Everything we could have possibly needed during our stay was provided. In addition to the luxurious accommodation, the grounds at Upper Vobster Farm are stunning and have a salubrious feel to them. We enjoyed many walks around the farm and surrounding woodlands and really enjoyed meeting the farms furry and feathery friends. Michael and Tricia are without a doubt the most accommodating, friendly and fabulous hosts we have ever come across and nothing was too much trouble for them. All of the staff we met were so helpful and friendly and it was a wonderful place to spend time. It was very difficult saying goodbye to Upper Vobster Farm and I have no doubt that we will return again!

Upper Vobster Farm provided an ideal place roughly half way between us and our son and daughter in law. The setting is idyllic and Courtyard Cottage provided a really comfortable stay. The triple aspect lounge/dining area captured the sunlight when it eventually appeared! (We stayed over the week end when Storm Eunice caused such havoc!)
The standard of decoration and installed equipment is excellent, from the high quality and easy to use kitchen appliances to the smart TV with a really clear picture,
Michael, Tricia and all the staff were very helpful over the weekend, providing a warm and caring welcome. Their attentiveness provides the crowning glory to a very special place to stay.
There are a number of good restaurants very close by, We enjoyed a fantastic meal at The Holcombe on the Saturday night.
We look forward to visiting Upper Vobster Farm again in the near future.

We had a wonderful short break at Upper Vobster farm recently with our 20 month old granddaughter. Courtyard Cottage was perfect for us as there was plenty of space for 5 of us. It was spotlessly clean with comfortable beds, and beautifully decorated.
Our granddaughter loved all the farm animals, and we all loved the tranquility and the gorgeous scenery of the farm. Michael and Trisha are great hosts making sure you have everything you need. We will definitely return.
