We had a wonderful short break at Upper Vobster farm recently with our 20 month old granddaughter. Courtyard Cottage was perfect for us as there was plenty of space for 5 of us. It was spotlessly clean with comfortable beds, and beautifully decorated.
Our granddaughter loved all the farm animals, and we all loved the tranquility and the gorgeous scenery of the farm. Michael and Trisha are great hosts making sure you have everything you need. We will definitely return.
It was a fantastic get away! The location was in a beautiful area, surrounded by greenery. The room was very clean, spacious and tidy. For me it was the little touches that made all the difference. The freshly cut rose from the garden in my room smelled lovely, the cotton pads in the bathroom (especially as I had forgotten mine), fresh milk, gowns and even Epsom salt in the spacious bath tub. My family and I have stayed at Upper Vobster Farm for many years. Each stay is truly fantastic and this visit to Lavender Cottage was no exception. Lavender Cottage is comfortable, extremely well appointed with amazing views. The hosts provide everything you need in the cottage for your stay and include lots of little extras - such as a thoughtful welcome hamper. Outside of the cottage there are a multitude of nature trails through woods and fields on your doorstep - in the summer there are also some lovely well thought out seating areas. We always have a wonderful stay and leave feeling reste...more
We loved the cosy lounge and bright, well equipped kitchen. The decor was tasteful and the cottage was well appointed with excellent parking. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The hosts were attentive and so thoughtful before and during the stay. The welcome hamper was very generous indeed. It was great to be able to look around the farm and we could have helped feed the animals if we had wanted to.
We had a lovely weekend at St Edmunds Court. We were a group of 8 (6 adults and two toddlers) and there was plenty of room for all of us. The bedrooms were great and the living areas very spacious. The house and grounds are absolutely stunning and we enjoyed going for walks and exploring. We cooked each night and found the kitchen very well equipped. The house has very little nearby and no phone reception but this wasn’t a problem for us as we were looking for a quiet break to spend quality time together. We would definitely recommend and would love to stay here again in the future. Thanks for...more
