Amazing place, totally out of this world, perfect to get away from the busy everyday life. The monastery is magical, walking around the beautiful corridors, the courtyard, or just walking out to the lake, the whole place is so serene and blissful. The apartment has huge windows overlooking the lake, the place is very warm, cozy, perfect to snuggle up with a good book and tea. The stars at night, reflecting on the lake, just gorgeous! The location is perfect to explore the Highlands, lots of hiking routes and shops are nearby. Absolutely would recommend this place and definitely will return!
What a beautiful place to stay. A place filled with peace, quiet and beautiful Scottish scenery. Spending the week here with the family was everything we all needed. We are already looking at coming back! Myla, 6 “I thought it was actually quite nice and I wanted to stay there forever”
It was a very pleasant stay! Everything was excellent - only the water for the shower could be hotter.
Fantastic stay in a beautiful apartment. We stayed in the Talisker and had a wonderful week. Plenty for everyone, the pool area is lovely and easy to book. Plenty for kids to do. The view over Loch Ness is stunning, a perfect place to sit with a coffee! We would love to return.
This holiday was amazing. We took over four apartments between 12 family members. We travelled from Manchester and Stirling. What an experience! We couldn’t have dreamt for anything more spectacular and what a setting. Everything we needed was here. Fort Augustus was such a busy little village with cafes, gift shops, a couple of pubs. We travelled out on day trips to Drumnadrochit, Fort William, Inverness, Urquhart Castle. Three of the party even climbed to the summit of Ben Nevis. The grounds of the monastary are just a dream with the loch, the river and the canal literally surrounding it. O...more
we loved everything: - the historic building - the very comfortable apartment with a great view of Loch Ness - the swimming pool - the surrounding area with beautiful walks and good restaurants (even in November)
Everything was really nice. We spend a lovely time during this week. The Highland Club is a lovely place to stay because of the pool, the gym, the snooker and the park... Inverness, the Glenfinnan and even the applecross pass are not very far away...
A great experience all round. The apartment itself was lovely, very clean, tidy, well appointed and the amenities on offer in the wider building were great also. Plus, the view from the apartment was spectacular! The only negative were the 6 flights of stairs to the 3rd floor apartment when carrying all your luggage or shopping (which is no one's fault). Otherwise, a great stay and one we'll likely repeat.
Unique lodging in a great little town. Enjoyed the stained glass windows, arches etc.yet all the comforts of modern living.
We recently stayed at Highland Club in The Sacristy. We had an amazing holiday and absolutely loved the location and facilities on offer at The Highland Club. The Sacristy is a gorgeous apartment and has been decorated beautifully but it was let down by one thing - the shower! We weren’t able to use it for the whole week we stayed there which was a huge disappointment as it is a beautiful bathroom. The water was either freezing cold or boiling hot - no in between. This was never able to be fixed despite numerous visits from maintenance and boiler engineers. We spent a lot of time trying to get...more
Stayed the week in this beautiful property in Fort Augustus. Our apartment was the 14 Raven Wing, and it offered a view on the great front lawn. It was spotless and had everything my daughter and I needed: we were very comfortable. There is just so much to see and do around the property: walking inside this old abbey or outside directly to the lake, the swimming pool, the tennis court, and all other amenities… Not to mention the walking access to downtown Fort Augustus or to trails going up into the hills overlooking the Loch Ness. We hope to be back soon to discover more of the Highlands.
