The Lean To House

The Lean To House is the most recently renovated and re-built cottage at Torr Vale Mill. This property was originally the old store room, which as it implies was used to store a variety of items required by the cotton mill. With it's modern amenities, it has a lovely full corridor length of windows which face the main mill and look over the courtyard. The bedrooms at the back look onto a lovingly landscaped area from which you can listen to the sounds of the river and nature at it's best. With a fully equipped modern kitchen and lounge area to relax in, this is somewhere you can restore your energy and create fond memories for the future.

The Lean to House is a charming space in the beautiful setting of Torr Vale Mill; accessed via steps it is a cosy, well furnished space with everything one would need for a stay. The kitchen is well equipped and the welcome basket was such a delightful touch and contained so much! The double beds in each room are huge, comfortable and complete with soft bedding. The bathroom is spacious and really well positioned at the end of the corridor. We used the house for my bridal party to get ready in on the morning of our wedding and it made for a light, bright space for us to have hair and make up done as well as to get dressed and have photographs in. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend and rebook to stay here. Thanks to the team.

Was advised that they would hold my card details for approximately 7 day’s after departure in case of damages. Money was taken from my account same day. Laminate floor was rather dirty on arrival. Great location. Bit overpriced for what you receive

This place has everything needed. Clean and comfortable with excellent amenities. Hosts were extremely friendly and so welcoming; we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The location is also awe-inspiring and the information provided was so helpful. The bedrooms were so nice!

We went with our 2 kids 4 & 6 - they thoroughly enjoyed it as did we.
Great little place and easy access to the Peak District and all it has to offer, millennium walkway and neighbouring walks were fantastic and right on your doorstep, very much recommended
