Lovely apartment for a few days, very comfortable lounge and bed and lovely bathroom. Small kitchen area, so not for people who cook complicated things on holiday (we don’t). Close to everything in town but tucked away- but with a bar and cheese/ wine shop metres away.
Bit of a steep slope up to the town, but we knew it would be like that and we did need the exercise after the cheese and wine….
We will be returning for a birthday visit in January and would recommend it to most people.
Fantastic location for visiting the Peak District.
House was very clean and everything provided that we needed. We did have a few issues with the wi fi at the beginning of our stay, but Rob went out of his way to get this resolved.
It’s a nice place to stay with great customer service. Unfortunately not during the winter. The windows and front door need to be reconditioned ( the front door had holes that you could see outside). This caused to be cold and windy inside. Would recommend if these issues are sorted.
Great use of an industrial heritage site. Striking and interesting. The site was quiet and the cottage
really comfortable and very well equipped. The use of partitions within the Clocking In House was clever giving the space an easy flow without losing its cosiness. Great kitchen facilities - really useful having a full sized fridge/freezer and a slimline dishwasher. The quality of the utensils was variable but the kitchen had everything - from a butter dish to pots , pans graters - the lot!
