One of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed in. We felt at home at home as soon as we walked through the door. Great location for walking from the door step. We loved it so much we have booked again for March 2026.

There are lots of great walks from the doorstep and a several places to eat within a 5 minute walk. We were delighted upon arrival at Mill House, which is presented to a high standard and is well equipped. Everything was brand new - kitchen, kitchen equipment, carpets, bedding, towels. Thoughtful touches such as a range of books for local walks (lakes, hills ridges, coffee shops) and starter kitchen packs for coffee, tea and cleaning.

There weren’t any photos of the games room so it was a very nice surprise to have a pool / table tennis table as well as a range of games and books.

Location was ideal for walks from the door. The Coledale Inn (dog friendly) is a one minute walk and serves good pub with a choice of ales and wines. We enjoyed our Sunday lunch there. Jaspers Cafe (also dog friendly) is also worth a visit for a tasty breakfast with friendly service.

The Keswick Cottages App was also really helpful with all the information we needed.
