This enchanting stone cottage has been beautifully decorated throughout and occupies a breathtaking elevated position with sunny south-west aspect just in front of Walla Crag and overlooking the beautiful Borrowdale Valley.

Delightful first stay at Deer Close Cottage. Very comfortable, well equipped and great location with lovely views from the property. We were able to walk into Keswick along the footpaths, yet still felt tucked away in the privacy of the countryside. Local wildlife was fun to observe and enhanced the holiday. It was very quiet and peaceful, the facilities were all that we needed and it was especially nice to be able to soak in the bath after a day of fell walking.

I have already shared details of the cottage with a friend who is planning a trip to the Lake District next year.

A couple of (minor) points -
i) the sofa is quite soft and offers little support, although the scatter cushions did help.
ii) one of the saucepans required cleaning as something had been burnt on the base of the pan and a small frying pan seems to be losing its non-stick surface.
