An external staircase and gallery veranda leads to an open plan sitting area with vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. Lords Leap is the perfect place for relaxing in comfort, getting lost in a book, or exploring lakes and fells that the Lake District is famous for.

We took our daughter, son, their husband and wife plus 3 young grandchildren for New Year for the second year running. It is so comfortable with plenty of room. Beds comfortable, kitchen well equipped.
Lots to do in the surrounding area, walks from the house, Windermere steamer, Aquarium (if rainy).
Some of our family tried clay pigeon shooting on the estate and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of other options sound good too.
The swimming pool is great - you have to book a session, and they are limited, but it is all yours for that time.

Nice place - quite simple but clean and comfortable. Nice big spacious living room, however sofa layout is a bit pokey for the vast room! Quite strange raised platform with a random sofa up there. Not sure how that would be used. Fabulous wood burner that heats the huge living room brilliantly. Lots of board games and books which is a really nice touch. Really lovely new-looking, and well furnished kitchen, everything you need. And lovely that the team left some goodies in the kitchen too: cookies, coffee, tea, jam. Really lovely

We took our son and daughter with their families to stay over the New Year period. The accommodation was ideal for us - we had a bedroom tucked away from the rest of the family! Lovely and comfortable living/ dining space with log burner and comfy sofas. Kitchen well equipped. Use of the swimming pool was a bonus. Unfortunately we had poor weather or would have used the children's playground too. The on-site shop was sadly closed for the duration of our stay but they did organise a shopping delivery for us on arrival.
Plenty of places to visit by car.
Have already booked for Next New Year.

We loved the location! A wonderful drive through woodland into a lovely glade and courtyard, seemingly miles away from anywhere. Perfect for us, especially as the Farm Shop is right there in the courtyard in case we'd forgotten anything. Surrounding walks through the estate were just spectacular - the main Estate house was beautifully situated, bathed in sunshine and surrounded by huge rhododendrons in full bloom - glorious. Cottage was lovely and spacious, great sitting area for evenings sipping wine by the fire.

Lord's Leap is perhaps one of the lower market accommodations at Graythwaite. It feels a little like a youth hostel. Having said that, it was suitable for our family of 8. The central living room area is big and comfortable, based around a wood burning stove, The dining room table area is roomy enough but didn't have enough chairs for all of the adult in our party. 2 of us had to sit elsewhere for dinner which was a shame. So extra chairs might be a good thing to offer. The double beds are really in need of replacing, as they dip in the middle and make for a very uncomfortable night sleep. The kitchen was well equipped and has everything you need. A welcome basket of biscuits, coffee and tea is a nice addition and there are tasty things to buy in the shop on site. One of the shower's drains was blocked and the fan looked to be a bit mouldy/dusty, and the other shower had very poor water pressure. So all in all, not my favourite accommodation, but it was OK for a family holiday where we were out and about and cooking our own food in the evenings. Great that there are BBQ's there as well and the ping pong table was fun to use.
