We stayed at Field Head House some years ago and it hasn’t changed save for some minor cosmetic upgrades. It is a beautiful place with stunning views and is centrally located for walks across the estate. There is plenty of space for a family of 4 and the kitchen has everything you might need (although the tin opener has seen better days)! We had a small issue with the heating which was dealt with promptly and our stay was extremely comfortable. It is one of the nicest properties we have ever stayed in and I look forward to a return in the near future. Thank you so much.

A larger cottage for up to 7 guests, well located close to a gate with lovely walks from the door. A car is best for getting around. A lovely spot and a very comfortable, charming cottage. You can walk down to Windermere Lake and Silverholme easily from this cottage.

We have stayed in 3 Graythwaite properties and this has by far the most beautifully appointed interior. It is spacious, comfortable and warm, a perfect country house in a beautiful setting. However, on arrival we were shocked to find what appeared to be an almost derelict house - peeling paint on the front door, thistles and other large weeds in the gravelled courtyard, dead shrubs in the planters and no sign anywhere we could find of a name board for the house. Having driven and walked around the little cluster of properties a few times, we finally had to knock on a door and ask. There was hardly any tourist information in the house - the only guide had 2019 timetables. Having said that, once inside, we found a perfect home for our short stay ........ and I did a bit of weeding!

Lovely place to stay, fab welcome pack.would definitely stay here again. There was a random sock in the porch way and a penguin biscuit in a cupboard, but no big issue with either of those. Wifi could do with improving as it just kept dropping
