Please note Hares View sleeps a maximum of 5 adults with the top bunk only suitable for a child. Hares View is just one of a cluster of magical homes set in the hillside of rural Mid Wales, stunning round windows give a feeling of being in a ‘burrow’ and allow the natural light to flood in and brighten up your stay. The views from this property are simply breath-taking and far reaching, this is a truly unique place to stay and one you will remember for a long time.

Enter the property from the idyllic outside area and you are greeted by the pristine open plan living/dining & kitchen area, the hub of the Underground House where memories will truly be made.

The kitchen comes complete with oven, hob, microwave, kettle & toaster as well as a fridge with freezer space and a large dining area with high stools, the perfect place to enjoy that family favourite supper or get engrossed in a board game.

Hares View is the perfect stay for up to five adults, with two king sized bedrooms & a bunk room, be sure to grab the king room with the doors onto the patio area for easy access to the hot tub! These bedrooms boast crisp, white bedding and the perfect place to relax and make the most of that much needed lie in you have been promising yourself.

The outside space at this property really is idyllic, your own private area overlooking one of Wales' best views, you really need to see it to believe it! Relax with a glass of your favourite bubbly in the exclusive hot tub and then later at night toast gooey marshmallows over the fire pit.

Comfortable and deceptively light and airy, the excitement may be too much for everyone as you tuck yourselves in for your first night in your ‘den’. Beautiful quirky features, all mod cons, enjoy the feeling of being tucked away or sit out on the undulating hillside, sink into the hot tub and enjoy the views.

The stay was for a surprise birthday treat, my wife was overjoyed and a little overwhelmed, especially with the birthday decorations being put up ready for arrival.
Communication prior to arrival was very professional and helpful.
I opted for a breakfast hamper, which had absolutely lovely produce inside, perfect for anyone arriving late evening. It certainly saves on the last minute shopping, as it's a couple of miles into town, and a good 20 minutes drive archway to larger supermarkets.
Rooms were nice, clean and comfortable.
Hot tub was also a hit with everyone too.

My husband and I stayed in the 'Hares View' cottage for our 10th Wedding Anniversary with our two little boys. We were blown away at how idyllic the setting and view were, and how well equipped and laid out the cottage was. As Tolkien fans, we were almost transported to Middle Earth due to how quaint and cosy it was. The hot tub and free waffles were a lovely touch! We'll definitely be back.

I highly recommend anyone to stay at Hares View, especially if they fancy somewhere different, fun & quirky. Situated in a picturesque area with unspoiled views for miles. The quaint village of Rhayader is just 2 miles from the site, where there is many shops & places to eat.
The accommodation is completely private, with no one overlooking. Therefore, it is very relaxing when chilling in the hot tub.
We’ll definitely be returning at some point.

We loved our hobbit house stay and made use of the hot tub despite the wet Welsh weather.
Gemma and the team made us welcome and made sure we had all the information we needed.. we will definitely return when we can.

A lovely underground hobbit hole holiday home, with stunning views.
Beautifully presented and clean, highly recommended.
Sofa could do with an upgrade as you can’t sit back due to the roof, (we used the outside patio furniture) and curtains need little hooks to cover side windows. Would benefit from a sign on the entrance so you know you entering the right driveway too.
Overall would love to stay again and try out the other accommodation on site.

We stayed at the beautiful Hare's View for one evening as a couple and our dog. It was absolutely incredible, amazing views and we had such a lovely time.
The only points I would say that we were disappointed with was the breakfast hamper. The way the hamper was advertised gave the impression that the bacon and sausages would be locally sourced from a butchers in the town so when we arrived and had edwards bacon and sausages we were disappointed as we could have bought this ourselves from tesco. I understand that edwards is a butchers but we were expecting meat from a town butchers etc it didn't state that the loaf of bread was wholemeal (which we dont like)on the advert either so it was just disappointing for the price. But other than the hamper, the stay was absolutely beautiful.

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay! Usually we always use the local butchers but unfortunately they are not open Mondays which was your arrival day, as the office staff don't work weekends and your hamper order didn't come in until Friday evening, our only option was the local shop on Monday as we didn't want to disappoint and not provide the hamper for you, we do usually ask for 2 weeks notice for hampers so we can work around these eventualities. We hope you will return again one day!
