We have just returned from three nights in the Slow worm, which we booked to celebrate our son’s 16th Birthday as a family. We loved having the comforts of a home whilst having a camping experience. Having a dishwasher, an oven, a hob, and a bathroom made the visit easy and stress-free. We loved how quiet our safari tent was (the slow worm tent is at the bottom of the field and feels very secluded) and the location is perfect for this. We found Brackenhill by chance when accommodation booked nearby was unavailable due to storm damage. We’re so glad we did! Staying in a safari tent for the first time was a great experience and these are so well equipped. The setting, overlooking the village and rolling countryside is idyllic. The location is great for access to Dartmoor and the coast. We didn’t meet the owners as they were away, but self check in was straightforward and easy to contact them during the stay.
