This was our second stay and we weren’t disappointed. The views, peace and quiet, comfort and warmth of this place are outstanding. Will hopefully return again sometime soon.
We stayed in the Barmkin adjacent to the castle and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Upon arrival there was a power outage however this was swiftly dealt with by Scottish Power who installed a generator which ran faultlessly through the night until mains power was restored. Sandy and Katarina were both very helpful and made us welcome with nothing being too much trouble. We loved our stay at Neidpath and hope to return at some point soon.
We had a wonderful stay at Barns Bothy. The house was lovely and so were the hosts. Well equiped kitchen. It was all clean and the rooms were very cosy. Great surroundings for long walks in the Scottish Boarders.
Lovely return to Barns Library, such a comfortable place to stay and great for local walks and drives. Can't wait to get back soon !!!
My wife and I both enjoyed our stay at Barns Tower. We were looking for something unique and different for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. And we got it. We loved the authenticity along with the mod cons to make the stay comfortable. Peaceful is a word often used but we really found it here. The supplies left were a lovely thought too. Peebles itself was lovely to visit, very friendly and we had a lovely meal at the Crown. The evening was spent with a nice bottle of champagne and a roaring fire after another lovely meal at the Peebles Spa Hotel. All in all we had a fabulous time.
We had an absolutely amazing stay at Neidpath Castle for a special family birthday. My husband and I stayed in Queen Marys Chamber in the castle and our children stayed in Neidpath Barmkin cottage. Our stay was perfect from start to finish. We had the whole castle to ourselves and loved exploring from down in the pit dungeon all the way up to the castle ramparts with it's beautiful views along the River Tweed. Sandy was so helpful and made our stay extra special. She arranged an amazing private dining experience for us in the castles beautiful tapestry room in front of a roaring fire. Privat...more
