We really enjoyed having views on all four sides and walks out the door. The house was really well equipped and of a high spec, with a really comfortable bed and opulent bathroom. We also loved the outdoor bath. We would come back!
My husband and I had such a wonderful stay. Katarina was so very lovely and helpful. The castle itself is incredible. I could have spent all day just exploring inside. A really brilliant end to my last night in Scotland and something I’ll remember for the rest of my life. Thankyou so much again.
The cottage is small but fine for two people. The accommodation is comfortable and the galley kitchen has everything you need.Nespresso machine much appreciated. A few miles outside Peebles which has a good selection of independent shops and eating places. Good bus connections to Edinburgh. Great walking country.
Staying at Barns Library during our friends’ wedding weekend at Neidpath Castle was an absolute treat. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the peaceful surroundings, the charm of the building, and the sense that we were staying somewhere truly special. The space itself was full of character. Barns Tower exceeded our expectations. We were looking for a personal castle stay, but for only two people. This place delivered! The drive in is beautiful, and there is a gorgeous walking path all around that will take you to many pastures of adorable livestock to watch frolic. The tower itself is so magical I want to live there! From the old staircases and historical references and touches, to the luxury touches like heated bathroom floors, fresh eggs and bread, and a collection of games and dvds, this place did not disappoint. We will be coming back, all the way from Canada!
