Two traditional stone cottages situated a few paces apart in the heart of the attractive hamlet. Both cottages sleep up to 6 guests and have been recently upgraded to offer modern day living with home comforts to ensure a comfortable stay. Door step walks to Dove Dale, cycle trails along with many other local attractions including quality country pubs ensure a warm welcome to the Peak District.
Both Duck and Riverside Cottages have all the modern day conveniences with open dining areas for casual suppers to well equipped kitchens, cosy living areas with woodburning stoves and luxury furnishings ensure a welcoming retreat at the end of the day. Fully carpeted bedrooms with pocket sprung mattresses and fresh cotton bed linen are supported by well appointed bathrooms with toiletries inspired by the British countryside. The outdoor terraces are a perfect way to appreciate the beautiful countryside setting.
This was our third trip to Riverside Cottage; as my son said, "when we turned into Milldale, it felt like coming home". I think that tells you everything you need to know.
Duck Cottage is absolutely gorgeous and somewhere you could absolutely live.
It’s cosy and luxurious with everything you need.
Polly’s Cottage is literally 10 steps from the front door and is open 7 days a week for coffee, icecream and pasty’s (lots of other offerings too) and its so lovely for children to be able to feed the ducks a few steps further to the river. Lovely walks from the doorstep and amenities aren’t too far away.
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
