We had the Fuschias and the Swallows for our group. We booked them as they were adjoining, but the adjoining door was locked, this wasn't really an issue though. They were well equipped and clean and comfortable. The gym and spa area was an added bonus. Good location, adequate parking and great communication. Really good value for money, would recommend.
Just a note to say a minimal amount of handsoap and toilet roll provided so make sure to bring your own.

This property was booked for several engineers who were carrying out essential works in the area.
They found the property to be ideal for their requirements as it was large enough to comfortably accommodate three of them, and it was close enough to shops etc.
The hot tub was a pleasant bonus too!

We stayed during TT week so it was quite expensive to book. Having looked at other dates outside the TT it is still quite expensive, i think i did expect a bit more as shown in the photos for the money - maybe this is just me?

Owner was lovely, pleasant and really welcoming. We had an issue with water one day and he came to chat to us about it about 5 minutes after i texted him. The accommodation itself was clean and the location was perfect, lovely and quiet outside and a good distance to everything on the island. Owner was helpful in recommending restaurants and places to visit. The water pressure is also excellent

The issues;

- There were 4 adults staying on this holiday, there was 1x 15cm Frying Pan. Barely big enough to cook a meal in for two, never mind 4 or the 6 this cottage sleeps.
- The 'spa' was ok. Sauna was lovely, we all used the steam room and were ill the next day and the hot tub really needs a clean, we were pulling leaves and hairs out of the water, in the end we just got out. We did use the spa area again, just for the sauna.
- There needs to be a floor plan on this website that shows the layout of the other adjoining properties - our upstairs bedroom was right next to next doors kitchen and there is no insulation in the walls. you can hear literally every word of conversation and slamming of the dishwasher.
- Again on insulation / sound proofing - if you're upstairs you can hear everything from downstairs and vice versa - and i mean just walking across the floor, nothing even loud.
- The hot water runs on a tank, we had neighbours who took extra long showers, nothing the accommodation can do about this but be aware, shower early or you will have no hot water
- Upstairs toilet fills incredibly slowly, again with 4 adults in the cottage (sleeps 6) - this was a bit of a nightmare.
- We think the cleaners use polish on the wooden floors upstairs or they have sprayed something because a few sections of the floor were lethal and incredibly slippery
- A few things not shown in the photos which i understand because you want custom, but just fix the issues, we paid over £4k for 11 nights and to walk in to split ceilings and old water damage, marks all over the kitchen walls and various other issues just really wasn't great.

We went for a 4 night extra long weekend and there was 4 of us. The beds were super comfortable and lovely bedding in very spacious bedrooms. Unfortunately there was only comfy seating for 4 (ok for us) but had we been a party of 6 there would have been 2 people sitting on dining chairs all evening watching TV!! Not brilliant, especially if staying for a week or more.
As has been stated in previous reviews, there are not really enough pans etc. to cook a meal for 4+ people so knowing this beforehand I took some along. There is a welcome pack of bread, butter, cheese, milk, biscuits etc. which is a nice touch. Obviously being self catering, there is only a limited amount of dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls etc etc. but it does tell you this in the online details.
The spa was located not far away in a separate building and although towels are provided in the spa for use in there it is a good idea to take a bathrobe for getting to and from the spa, unless you are planning on getting dressed before returning to your cottage.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, which was to celebrate one of our parties birthday, and the taxi was only £10 each way to go out for a birthday lunch without having to have a designated sober driver. We had a lovely relaxing stay and would recommend.

Booked the holiday for my parents who are in their 90's and have mobility needs.
We found the apartment ideal for their needs and it was very comfortable and warm.
We found the spa facilities good and the owner very helpful.
We did find the drive way directly infront of the apartment a little difficult to negotiate with a walker but otherwise the apartment was excellent and we would recommend it.

Excellent accommodation especially as we needed a mobility friendly space for my 91 yr old Mam. Very clean, well equipped and lots of clean ares for parking and access.
The gym, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room included in the price made it value for money stay.
Will definitely be back.

We had a good stay. The positives- secluded quiet spot, but only 2 miles to Peel. Good directions, easy to find.
The not so good bits.. if there were 6 it may be quite noisy, as it has all lovely hardwood floors, but they were a bit echoey.. there wasn’t enough seating in the living room for 6, you could seat 4 with a couple on dining chairs. Not enough pans for cooking (1 pan really?) luckily we had read reviews and bought one with us.
David the host was lovely and helpful but not intrusive. The sauna, gym and hot tub were a nice touch.

The house was well equipped and very clean. The downstairs accessiblity was perfect for some of our family group as a lot of thought had gone into the design of this part of the house. Access to the house for a car to drop off those who couldn’t walk far was quite tight but doable with care. The gym and spa areas were a nice added touch and the owner took his time explaining everything before we used it which was really helpful. This location is good for reaching all parts of the island the roads being quiet and well signposted. Altogether a great all round holiday.

We had a lovely time at the Fuschias, clean & comfortable and use of the spa when the weather was bad. Very handy for Peel. The only thing wrong was I struggled to cook for 4 people as there was only one saucepan, a tiny frying pan, a smalll casserole dish with no lid and a few smaller cooking dishes. Plenty of mugs, plates and cutlery and everything else though. Apart from that it was an excellent week.

We stayed with our 89yr old father and the Fushias was perfect. Although he did find the wet room a challenge to shower in. The floor was slippy after use. A mat or stand board may have helped him. Everything else was great. Location was ideal as no where on the island was to far to travel to. We had a lovely break and would recommend and go again

A comfortable stay in the lovely north of the island. Very close to Peel and St John‘s, with easy access to Douglas and the ferry.

House was well appointed, with good size bedrooms and comfy beds. A good accessible room was provided and well equipped kitchen. Living room is not over large and the dining table is difficult to fit more than 3/4 around without pulling into the living room.

One thing to be aware of is the noise level in the upstairs bedroom when the apartment next door is used. Without any undue behaviour, voices and music/furniture movement carries straight through.

A very clean, comfortable and pleasant premises and stay. Island Escapes did everything that was necessary. However, as an amputee with only one leg, I found the three legged bathroom stool unstable, and easily tipped when reaching to one side. A four legged seat, whether stool or chair, would be safer.

We booked all 3 accommodations as we were staying with relatives. It was great to be able to open up the interconnecting doors so that we could use it as one house when needed and close them off when we didn’t. The accommodation was spotless and well equipped. The added bonus of the gym was also great. Would definitely stay again!

We booked Fuchsia and Swallow together, two great interlinked properties for this big family gathering. The properties are in a lovely peaceful location and are very spacious and comfortable. There is a great gym with sauna and hot tub which we used a lot. We also really enjoyed playing table tennis outside. If you're intending to cook for large groups though take your own pans and large bowls etc. as although the kitchens are lovely and spacious they have a real shortage of decent sized cooking utensils.
Overall a great trip and we were blessed with beautiful weather.

We stayed at Ballacallin Court over the Christmas break for 5 days and occupied all 3 cottages which was perfect for our family break. As the cottages all have interleading doors, the set-up was absolutely perfect. The cottages are very well equipped, modern and comfortable, the gym & spa facility is an added bonus. The view from the cottages is beautiful and instantly relaxing. The service we receive from Island Escapes as well as the on-site owners was amazing. The little touches such as bread, milk, cheese and butter in the cottage kitchens was really lovely. We had a wonderful time at Ballacallin and I would highly recommend booking a stay there :)
