The house is beautiful. Well equipped kitchen. The information guide is downloaded, but in my opinion does not give enough detail.We needed to call Island Escapes for help with setting the heating and fire. They came round quickly and sorted the problem.

Great house, lovely quiet location, almost everything you need is provided, welcome pack was excellent. Spacious accommodation just short of a shelf or two in the bedrooms.

The property is stunning and has glorious views. It is very clean and has all mod cons. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is the added touch of having around 12 herbs and spices available. The welcome pack was a lovely selection of Manx produce too.
Beds are very comfortable and really nice bedding and towels with ample shampoo, conditioner and body and hand washes, not just small sachets but bottles.
If there is just a couple of tiny criticisms, the first would be that it would be a benefit to have a couple of armchairs, maybe in corners that could be pulled out to use when needed. We were a party of 5 and although there are 2 four seater sofas, had there been 8 of us it would not have been comfortable sat squished 4 to a sofa in the evenings. The other thing is that is would be good to have the option of twin beds in a couple of the rooms, even if they are side by side. If you are sharing with a friend (not a partner) it would be nice to have single bedding.
Overall we had an amazing long weekend stay to celebrate a friends 70th birthday and retirement and we would definitely recommend the property.

Wow. When we saw the holiday listing we thought this looked a fantastic place to spend a week with friends and we were not disappointed.
Salt Wood had everything we could ask for and more. It is beautifully appointed and ticked all the boxes regarding location and amenities. The additional touches of the welcome groceries and chocolate were very welcome.
We would certainly recommend and will return in the future.

A great location with easy access to the beach. Superb views of the harbour and countryside. Good size rooms to readily accommodate a large family group. Island escapes were very helpful and efficient. We really enjoyed our stay in a stunning property.

Beautiful house, stunning location. Had everything we needed. Customer service was excellent. James came out straight way when we were struggling with the TV and was so helpful. Could have done with the appliance instructions being in the property for example trying to figure out the washer/dryer when it is not your own familiar one can be a bit tricky, the digital guide book did not have this info as it promised. But that is not the end of the world.
The Neighbours were a delight, giving all the local info on good places to eat and drink. Local Pub The Albert was friendly. the Boathouse restaurant also hopping distance was a great place, and Kellas was fabulous.
Port St Mary was a lovely little place and all the locals seemed genuinely friendly.
The house is in a dream location just sitting on the balcony first thing in the morning or last thing at night or to be honest any time just watching the locals and the world go by.
The Isle of man was a lovely place and we really enjoyed our trip.

We loved how contemporary the property is compared to most others available. It’s extremely well equipped and the inside is spotless. The only slight annoyance is the sheer number of seagulls and pigeons on and around the property which makes the balconies almost unusable. The parking space is great and the local restaurants are very good. Our stay was excellent value for money and we’d definitely recommend the house to everyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Salt Wood. The location and the views from the upstairs entertaining area and the downstairs bedroom were fabulous! The house is decorated to a very high standard with great attention to detail. A walk along the coastal path towards Gansey is well worth doing (turn left out of the house and keep going) - continue to the Shore pub for a well-earned refreshment!

The house is beautifully finished and the views are simply stunning! Location perfect with lots of amenities near by
A very relaxing setting.

My only note would be that it’s not practical for young families. Split level living, lots of steps, crystal glassware etc.
Perfect for couples/group of friends.

Beautiful property and location. We did not want to leave. The decor & facilities are very high end- highly recommend Saltwood for a Staycation. Really close to the Boathouse for fantastic food which was a bonus.
