Yew Cottage is on the end of the row of pleasant cottages and is unique from the others.

Internally is has a superb and homely open planned living space, with all the family amenities needed for modern day living, with the essential log burning stove and smart TV.

The cottage is bright, fresh and cosy with comfortable furnishings and a good attention to detail with all the facilities. All of the bedrooms in this cottage can be set as Twins, so it can sleep 7 people, all in separate beds.

There is a private Hot Tub outside set on a small private garden area which opens out onto the banking of the wider grounds.

A lovely place to stay (and walkable to Bowness)

The location of the property was brilliant, the grounds were lovely and it was quite at night. We enjoyed the hot tub most days despite the weather and found enough space surrounding the houses to set up a mini badminton 'court' so the kids could have fun!

The house is well laid out, with decent sized bedrooms. The single room is actually quite lovely - really nice and bright so my daughter was happy despite not having a double bed! The kitchen is well equipped too and we cooked most nights using the oven and hob. There was even a knife sharpener and muffin tin, which are not usually provided in self catering properties.

My only slight criticism is that the beds are quite soft and could benefit from thicker pillows (perhaps take your own if you're fussy?). There were also a few spiders but we did leave the windows open a lot, so our fault

Lastly, the resident ducks and ducklings came to visit on a few days which made the kids' week!
